Jay Anon: After being diagnosed with stage four cancer of undetermined origin we came to Largo for a second opinion. After being told a referral was necessary I contacted Dr Dean’s office. The receptionist had an attitude from the beginning and then put the office manager on the phone. It became clear that the receptionist acts like that because the office manager is even more rude. They both interrupted me repeatedly and when the manager was asked if she would like to be treated this way or her family treated rudely she said she would guarantee I would not be seen in her office. Apparently they believe patients are to accept being treated rudely and ask for more mistreatment and then thank them for the privilege of being treated like something they stepped in. It makes me wonder if Dr Dean knows how they act and uses it as a tool to manage her caseload. It’s unfathomable to me that someone working in a doctors office would speak to someone this way, much less a manager and especially a cancer patient.

Robert Corty: He performed an unnecessary, invasive procedure on a family member of mine that caused a life-threatening complication -- esophageal perforation. He never apologized, nor checked on her in the hospital, nor managed her recovery, which took three years and required a thoracotomy (open chest surgery) and a laparoscopy (open abdomen surgery). She came to him for constipation and his plan to address it was an upper endoscopy with dilation, which makes no medical sense but pays well. He has betrayed his oath in pursuit of a payday. Stay far away! For context, I am a doctor, but not a GI doctor.

Ashley Stewart: Office doesnt do STAT authorization request? A patient was referred to our office by Dr. Nicholas Okeson, my doctor wanted to do an ultrasound while patient was in the office. The staff here stated "they get too many authorization requests, that they dont do STAT authorization request" I completely understand that a lot of authorization requests come in but if something is STAT why should the patient suffer because the office isnt staffed enough to handle stat authorization requests? So what is a patient to do that needs something done stat, go to the emergency room? Seems like horrible patient care to me.

She sat me down in her office first for an interview to collect my medical history and she showed genuine interest in helping me get to the bottom of things. David Clink: Ive been seeing Dr. Ignell for about a year now after the office I was going to closed. We discussed a few options for my getting back to good health journey, I want to get off some of the medications that I have been prescribed over the years and dont like the side effects. So far Ive dropped a lot of weight, lowered my blood pressure and dropped my A1c by close to 2.5 points. I really like that he takes time to listen to my concerns and gives me several options, and he always and makes sure that any questions that I have are answered. Also hes not pushy like a lot of other doctors. I highly recommend him.
