1 /5 Barbie Verde: OFFICE STAFF DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS!!
So, I had an appointment with Dr. Nudell about a year ago for a routine colonoscopy and endoscopy. Dr. Nudell found a few pre-cancerous cells in my throat that he did biopsies on. He said to follow up with him in two years for another routine screening. I began having issues with my throat, which I was very concerned about, so called the office and was told he had no appointments for months, so I made an appointment with Tammy the PA, which was still a month out but easier to get in with her than Dr. Nudell.
The day of my appointment I could not locate my wallet, so I called and left a message before 8 am stating I was about 10 minutes late and on my way. When I called the office, I had to leave a message because the answering machine indicated they weren’t even open at this time. I get to the office state my name and the not so friendly receptionist, coughing after every other word said “oh just marked you a NO SHOW” I said no show? I called you before my scheduled time and left a message on your machine stating I would be 10 minutes late, she said oh we don’t listen to those messages.
She stated I can make you another appointment for another month out, I said I appreciate that, but I’m having issues and very concerned about my health. She said there was nothing she could do and stated that the Dr. allows 10 minutes for visits and you’re late. She then proceeded to say you can wait for the next patient and if they are a no show, you can take their appointment. I said if this patient’s appointment isn’t scheduled until 8:30 why couldn’t the Dr. talk to me for 10 minutes since it’s only 8:10 maybe 8:15 by this point. Keeping in mind I was the first patient of the day. She then proceeded to say that they are a new patient and need to be here by 8:15 for an 8:30 appointment to do new patient paperwork. This patient showed up at 8:30, so within this time of this employee sharing their processes and procedures I could’ve spoken with the Dr., and shared how afraid and uneasy I am about the issues I am having, this employee never offered to even discuss with the Dr. if she could squeeze me in. The absolute worst service I have ever received in a Dr.’s office. Never going back and no one should be treated like this!!!!
So now I’m wondering why they took the 8:15 patient when he was 15 minutes late…was that a much larger FEE for them since mine just a follow up for a smaller fee, do they pick and choose who they NO SHOW, just confused!!!!
