2 /5 Terrie Petersen: Hi all, I was a patient at Kindred in Hollywood . I had Gallbladder surgery at Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines. I went into spectic shock and was put on life support for 7 days when I woke up both of my lungs were collapsed and,I had to have blood transfusions and,I had a lot of other problems .I was, there for 5 weeks.Dr came to see me and said That I had to be moved to another facility. He said Hospice I freaked out and said no way Im not, dying then he said well your not out of the woods yet. Anyway I ended up at Kindred. The ambulance came at 10pm. I was at the last room. Every time someone came through the double doors it,would make loud noises . I was there for 4 and half months.I had double pneumonia, an access in my abdominal region, which was very painful.I also had to have 6 additional surges. Most of the nurses were good CNAS another story. They didnt really wanted to do anything extra. I was there was from late Sept to,mid Jan. So I was there during the holidays and they were short staffed. The food was pretty bad and when I picked food from the menu I never got it right. The physical therapy aids were very good I had to learn to walk again, then I became contagious and I had to stay in the room for,2 months I finally got out of there right before Covid hit. One night I woke up and my arm and sheets felt wet, I turned the light on and my IV came out of my arm. There was blood and IV fluids spilling out I Turned the call light on. Waited for a while, I went into the hallway with the IV pole and every light was on.I wasnt supposed to be out of my room but I really didnt really didnt care anymore. I never did find the nurses oh and the ice machine was broken for 2months ,and in all that time I only saw the primary care,Doctor 4times. The,one good thing about the nurses was that they did keep my daughter up to date about my tests,I,did have a very high fever and had to pack me ice and ICU nurses stay with me. The pneumonia came back Another good thing was that I had a private room
