4 /5 Wade: This is a nice park with the water and gazebo, but I couldn’t find a playground that they apparently have. The geese are cool for kids to see but lots of droppings around and has a smell. Could be cleaner. Also saw some homeless folks. All in all it’s a good park but could use some work.

4 /5 allison montgomery: This is a scenic park with a small loop around the lake. I agree with other reviews regarding bird droppings. There are a ton of ducks and Canadian geese, which i personally dont like. The sidewalks did have a lot of droppings. If you dont mind that, then this park is the place for you. I didnt find it super relaxing, as there were some "sketchy" looking people, so I felt like I needed to really pay attention to my surroundings. The coolest part was that a group of people were playing bagpipes and drums, so that was really awesome. There were a few gorgeous trees around the lake, and there are some cute little shops nearby. The parking area is quite small so you might need to park on the street. Its worth checking out and seeing what you think.

The circular path is well-suited for casual walks or jogs, and its short length makes it easy to complete multiple laps without getting too tired. It’s a peaceful spot, ideal for getting some fresh air and light exercise. That said, the lake area could benefit from better maintenance—particularly the benches, which could be cleaner and more inviting.

4 /5 Eduardo: Is a very pleasant and peaceful place. It’s perfect for walking your dog or just sitting down to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The paths are comfortable, there’s plenty of green space, and the lake view is calming. I’m giving it 4 stars because, while it’s great, some areas could use a bit more maintenance. Still, highly recommended!

Dorothy B. Oven Park - Tallahassee Janet Stiles: I went here to enjoy the lights. It is absolutely beautiful. I definitely recommend walking thru the lights vs driving thru. You will not be disappointed. Parking is available just before the park entrance. It is free to enjoy. The picture dont do it justice.

Governors Park - Tallahassee Dale Thompson: A pleasant walk around the park 1 mall trail to get some steps in today midday. Just what the Dr ordered for some stress relief. A few nice elevation changes on this easy trail. Beautiful foliage on display this time of year. I would recommend highly to others.

Korean War Memorial - Tallahassee Wind Tree Studios: This beautiful memorial is one of the most thoughtful and creative uses of stone and symbolism that I have ever experienced. Nestled in a beautiful natural setting this memorial evokes contemplation and remembrance naturally and profoundly.

Tom Brown Park - Tallahassee E Li: Beautiful park with paved walking trails and wooded trails for pedestrians and bicyclists. Lots of open areas to play or relax and also has a pretty nice sized playground. The dog park is usually busy with plenty of happy pups enjoying the well designed layout. Restrooms could be a little cleaner, but not bad for a busy public park. Park has a family friendly vibe here especially on weekends.

Velda Mound Park - Tallahassee Luke Hugghins: Small mound (around 500 years old) to take your family to. Not very crowded, either. It has a nice little historical plaque.

San Luis Mission Park - Tallahassee allison montgomery: I was visiting Tallahassee and decided to check this park out. I had high hopes. This park is nestled inside a residential area. A nearby resident was blasting their music and it was easily heard for about 1/4 mile. The trails were great but if youre allergic to poison ivy, be aware there is a lot of it around. The dog park would be a hit for your dogs. However, I did not see an area for smaller dogs. There did seem to be a large area for the dogs to run and play. There were restrooms on-site with a small playground as well. It was great to get some fresh air.

If you have any interest in architecture, go see this fascinating home! Make contact for tour through the website, following the instructions which seemed confusing but were actually easy. Plan ahead.
