I want to highlight the overall care provided by Memorial, and in this case, by Memorial Hospital West. At this hospital, I felt very comfortable. From the security staff to the last professional who attended to me, everyone was attentive to my needs. 5 /5 Vanessa Perez: My experience with Memorial West Hospital has always been exceptional. From the birth of my first daughter in 2018 to the personal care I’ve received over the years, the level of compassion and professionalism has remained outstanding. Most recently, under unexpected circumstances, I found myself back at Memorial West, and once again, the care I received was amazing. From the front desk staff to the nurses, doctors, and the OR team, everyone went above and beyond to provide support and reassurance. Despite my nervousness and anxiety, the entire team helped ease my fears, prepared me thoroughly, and guided me through a smooth recovery. Dr. Catalano’s OR team was incredible, making me feel comfortable throughout the process. I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Julie, Ari, and Nurse Campbell for their kindness and exceptional care. Their compassion truly made a difference for both me and my husband, and we are incredibly grateful for the outstanding treatment we received.

5 /5 anthony jenkins: It was about 4pm, and i drove myself to the hospital assuming i had a kidney stone. Entry was clean and a receptionist was there to greet me. I was quickly directed to the triage area and my height and weight was taken. 5 minutes later I was directed to bed b in the main triage area with other patients. my bed was right in front of the nurses station, it was clean and labeled bed n. Moments later temperatures pulse and respiratory were taken a second time. Moments later another nurse came over and the doctor. Doc introduced himself and inquired about my symptoms. He explained he would be prescribing morphine for stomach pain and ordering imagery of my stomach. 10 minutes later a different nurse arrived and provided morphine and two other pills. On two instance about 15 minutes apart I got up and walked to the bathroom and passed urine. I swallowed the three pills and was then given a shot in the buttocks. 20 minutes later I was asked to get up and ride a chair style wheelchair and ended up at an imagery machine. I was asked and assisted to lay flat and was quickly given a blanket and the machine moved me inside its portal. After a few minutes, i was done and the transporter assisted me back into the chair and rolled me back to my hallway. My buddy arrived moments later and after small talk i realized the pain was was minimally subsiding. Friend left. About 1 hour later i was greeted by another doctor, he advised i had passed a kidney stone based on resultants from the imagery. He the explained I was able to go home. About 30 minutes later my iv was removed and my vital signs were ok, and i was dischargedddd. Great staff, great job!

1 /5 Brooke Mashburn: My mom had surgery here. The hospital is disgusting. Smells like urine through the entire hospital. Like a urinal really. All of the bathrooms are gross. They would only let me visit my mom in recovery for 5 min after I had asked someone to call to see if I can go see her as it was 2 hrs since I heard she was in recovery. This hospital is a joke. I will never come back to this hospital. They got 71k from my mom. Hopefully they hire cleaning people and nicer staff with that. There are homeless people screaming at you outside and they do nothing. From the parking lot to the inside it’s just a nightmare. The security guards were arguing when they checked me in. The nurse manager or doctor not sure who she was in the nurse managers office with a white jacket and scrubs on was in her office cursing and talking about invisaline and how it’s crazy millions of people have it and why the hell are people wasting money on it with the door wide open for people to hear. There is stuff all over the hallways. Yet I can not stay with my mom longer than 5 minutes with my mom who just had a 6hr surgery and have to leave her alone while she waits for her room to be ready whenever that is. And to top it off the room they put her in has holes in the walls broken hooks just laying around and dirt.
