5 /5 Jeffrey Yu: Beautiful garden with lake, streams and different period garden styles as well as a bonsai collection. There is a nice cafe on premise and gallery with small exhibitions. Day tickets were $16 at the door for adults when I visited.

5 /5 Sergio Hernandez: Amazing views and very relaxing areas. They strategically placed benches in front of their best scenery. Its a very pleasant afternoon. Also, do NOT sleep on their Cafe. The boba tea is DELICIOUS and the food is excellently priced and very tasty.

5 /5 Nurse Ford: A Hidden Gem – A Perfect Day for the Whole Family! We recently visited Morikami Japanese Gardens, and I can’t say enough good things about it. My three children absolutely loved the experience! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peaceful, beautifully maintained landscapes that felt like stepping into another world. The gardens are stunning — a perfect blend of nature, water features, and traditional Japanese design. The paths are easy to walk, even for little ones, and there are so many spots to stop, explore, and just take in the scenery. My kids were fascinated by the koi fish ponds, the stone lanterns, and the little bridges throughout the park. It’s both peaceful and engaging, which is a rare combination when you’re traveling with children! They had so much fun while also learning about Japanese culture and nature. There was plenty of shade, clean facilities, and spots to sit and relax — all of which made the experience enjoyable for us as parents, too. Highly recommend Morikami for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking to spend a beautiful day outdoors. We’ll definitely be coming back!

5 /5 Donna Terrano: Beautiful place! Very friendly staff! Much larger than I expected with peaceful spots to sit on benches and enjoy the scenery. There were so many cars in the lot we thought it would feel crowded, but the grounds are so large it wasn’t an issue. There is also a cool wooded path to walk through. The bonsai garden was spectacular, some of the trees there were older than us. Good food and fast service at the cafe. The vegetarian bento box was huge. Also, the gift shop was nice and it had an interesting selection of items. Thank you to the staff for a great experience.

Yamato Scrub Natural Area - Boca Raton Y Frank (Frank Y): Nice area to walk for a change of pace. Ten parking spots. You are in the city so not not a quiet place but dont have to worry about cars or bike.

The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum - Boca Raton Cintia: What an incredible place! Anthony at the front desk was such a delight. Super helpful, insightful and definitely loves what he does. He provided me with so many great historical facts about Boca! The place is clean, well organized and properly displays historical artifacts. Great visuals! Considering buying the membership! Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park - Boca Raton Bill Lozano: I’ve been to this park a few times to take walks. It’s a large park and my wife and I will walk 3 to 5 miles around it. During the week it’s not busy but even on weekends you will find places to park without any issues. This 872 acre park has almost everything. Tennis center, pickleball, baseball fields, volleyball, golf course, racquetball/handball courts, water park, canoe/kayak launch, picnic areas with grills, playground for ages 2-5 years, ages 5-12 years, ages 2-12 years, Amphitheaters, Dog park, running path, Daggerwing Nature Center and so much more. You can enter from Yamato Road, Park Access Road or Glades Road. The park is always kept in good shape but they have some electrical issues so bathrooms are closed but porta potties have been installed until the issues are fixed. Also some field and parking lot lights aren’t working. Since this park is in far western Boca it’s not as busy as most other parks in the Boca, Delray,Boynton area.

Boca Express Train Museum - Boca Raton Melissa Dan: Great historical place to go to learn about the history of the boca train museum. The interactive tour inside of the train reenacting the experience is very original and is a must do if you have kids or are taking students on a field trip. I would highly recommend this place for elementary students to go on a field trip.

Coconut Cove Waterpark and Community Center - Boca Raton Liontude LLC: Great way to entrain the kids. Driving is about 45 mins for me but it’s definitely worth it. Saturday we were there from 10-1pm my kids had fun. Weather was perfect, there was a lot of people but enough space so we can play and enjoy without feeling crowded. Big slides were fun, lazy river not crowded, 4ft pool has a decent size and the playground for the little ones has a lot of options(just be careful is a lot of water falling and it could be overwhelming for little ones and babies). They sell snacks but no hot food, bring your own or order DoorDash like we did, also you cannot use your own floats.

Pinewoods Park - Boca Raton Joe Graham: The park has three baseball fields for youth sports. The fields are well maintained and utilized by local teams most days. The playground is a bit weatherbeaten and the day we visited, there was no one playing there. Parking and restrooms are tidy and sufficient for a park of this size. A small lake is situated behind the ball fields and separates the park from a large subdivision.

Sand Pine Park - Boca Raton Alanna Avalone: Pine Sand Park is one of our favorite spots! We bike there at least three times a week, it’s become a special part of our routine. My toddler, Liane, loves it every time. It’s a clean, peaceful park with just the right mix of open space and nature. So lucky to have it right next to our home!

Greater Boca Raton Beach District - Boca Raton Robert D: Their limited resources (only 3 employees) requires most of their budget to go through the city for maintaining the parks in the city. The city must approve improvements proposed for their Boca Teeca property & the city council has denied approval of golf amenities 3+ times in the past=dont ask the BPD for golf in their next proposal.
