1 /5 Kristina Womboldt: I was recently referred to this dental office and had high hopes based on the recommendation. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who were professional, kind, and helpful—truly the highlight of my visit.
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was deeply upsetting. The assistant who brought me back seemed frustrated from the start. When I expressed concern about the x-ray process due to having a small mouth, she proceeded anyway, causing me to gag repeatedly. When I tried to explain, I was told I "should’ve stayed home."
The dentist entered without any introduction and immediately scolded the assistant about a missing detail in my chart regarding a previous root canal. The assistant responded dismissively, which only added to the tension in the room. During the exam, the dentist abruptly examined my mouth and made a very insensitive comment, stating, "Well, what do you want to do? It’s not like you have a lot of teeth left." I was shocked and humiliated by the lack of compassion and professionalism.
I left the office feeling deeply embarrassed and disrespected. I sat in my car and cried for 30 minutes after the appointment. No one deserves to be treated this way—especially when seeking care for something as vulnerable as dental health.
I hope this feedback encourages better patient care and communication in the future.
