Peterson Park - Lakeland (FL)

4 /5 Rachel H: The playground area is nice. Most of the swings were in the shade so they werent too hot for my kids to swing on. The grounds are well maintained and they have several baseball/softball fields. However, the boardwalk needs to be replaced because several board are worn out and the bathrooms REALLY need updated.

4 /5 Kimberly Vogler: Nice area, was clean when I went. The playground doesnt have a lot to offer. My son is 2½ and was bored quickly with the smaller play area and couldnt even make it up to the slide on the bigger play area and there was no way for me to help him. We played for a little bit and walked over to the ramp by the lake for a few minutes. There are restrooms right there, but we didnt use them so I cant speak on the cleanliness.

5 /5 D Dave: Very nice park thats centrally located. The 1st drive way is for the ball fields, the 2nd is for the main park. There so much to offer here - playground, covered picnic tables, grills, restrooms, walking path, boardwalk, and even a small boat ramp. There is not a sidewalk from the parking area to the walking path, so you either have to walk thru the grass from the pavillion or along the road a few steps. Great opportunity to watch for local critters which may include a small alligator.
