HairPeace - Jacksonville Nichole: Had an amazing first time salon experience for my son! Nina was so gentle and helped keep him relaxed during his trim and wash. She is very knowledgeable on the different curl types and used the correct products for his looser curl patterns. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
RIO Hair Studio - Jacksonville Daniella Torres: I have been coming to this salon for a little less than a year now and I cant believe I havent given them the 5 star review theyve earned time and time again. The first pic is my hair on a day to day basis (freshly washed and air dried). Everytime Ive walked into RIO Ive always left feeling like a princess. Ive worked with Autumn, Natalie, and Zoe (Apprentice) and have NEVER been disappointed with their service, always getting exactly was I wanted and asked for. I typically get a blowout style with every trim I get and it always looks amazing. In the third lic is what my dry hair looked like after receiving the gloss mask treatment. I love this place and I doubt Ill find anywhere else like it. With friendly diverse staff with a whole range of talents, to the comfy interior, and of course complimentary beverage table, I have been throughly impressed. This place is very clean, very professional and very affordable. My services have also never been more than $80 (with tip.) 10/10 would recommend. (P.S . despite the Redken products being more expensive than I typically spend, the product reccomended to me is now my new go -to in shampoo and conditioner. I noticed a WHOLE difference in my hair texture and recommend at least trying them once if you arent satisfied with your current home hair care needs.) Hope to see you there!
Atelier Salon - Jacksonville Michelle Case: I started going to Lee’s place about 3 years ago and it has been great to see the place expand! This time I had the pleasure of working with Erica and she did an AMAZING job on my hair - adding beautiful framing and dimensions to my very sorry hair that was in desperate need of repair. My hair looks wonderful and I can’t wait to show it off! Lee and Erica are both hair magicians and I highly recommend coming here!
Salon on the Southbank - Jacksonville B Crypto: After having multiple bad hair cuts at different salons around Jacksonville, I finally found an amazing hair stylist at San Marco Strands. Ralph, the hair stylist that I’ve been seeing there, does an absolute amazing job. He is very professional, friendly, and he really takes his time to make sure his cuts and styles are perfect. Every time he cuts my hair, it always looks like the best cut/style I’ve ever had. I will never go to another barber or hair dresser in the Jacksonville area again. On top of the great service the pricing is also unbeatable for the treatment you receive at this salon. My wife also has her hair done by him routinely and he’s does amazing work with women’s hair as well. If you are looking for a new hair stylist don’t hesitate to go to strands!! And make sure you ask for Ralph!!
Cultivate Hair Salon - Jacksonville Samantha Allen: Got my hair done by Alexus. We did some highlights & a cut. I’m so happy with the results & this was the most relaxing hair experience I’ve had. She’s very knowledgeable & made me feel comfortable. The salon is super cute & has its own parking lot. Highly recommend booking with Alexus. Will be back soon!
11i Salon Collective - Jacksonville Neha S: I was referred here by a coworker, and I’m so glad I got to meet Kiki! She’s so sweet and talented. I was getting married and struggling to find a good stylist, but Kiki squeezed me into her busy schedule and worked her magic. She made me look incredible on my wedding day, and I got so many compliments on my hair. Highly recommend her amazing work!
Salon 180 - Jacksonville Melody Serrano: New to the area. Walked in to inquire on rates and availability. Spoke to Raven, the owner, and set up an appt for 2 days later for haircut. Just left from my haircut appt. Its a warm friendly environment. Nice vibe with music playing. Everyone was friendly, but I was working with Raven. She cleaned up my overgrown hairstyle. Helped give pointers on places to check out in the area for food/music. She did a wonderful job on my super thick hair. I definitely will be going back! Thank you Raven.
Couture Hair Salon - Jacksonville Erica Conto-Teague: If you are looking for a fantastic salon and wonderful person to do so ask for Tricia. Nicest and best person to cut my hair and do my highlights.
Salon 718 Jax - Jacksonville Tried it She (It): The salon is nice and very prompt. My stylist Angela sat me at the sink to wash my hair and asked if she could use Dawn dish soap to wash my hair. She said because my hair was so oily and not to worry she would give me a hydration treatment. So without asking questions because shes the pro.. I say sure. She gave me some tips on how to care for my hair and prevent breakage. At the end of my service I was charged for the hydration treatment that I thought she was doing because she was using Dawn instead of what she called expensive shampoo. I would have appreciated knowing that upfront. In my opinion Dawn should not be used on all hair types. My hair was so dry and flaky the next day I couldnt believe it. $200 was way too much in my opinion. Ill do my own twist from now on. I would still recommend based on the client that got straight styles. Update. When I took the twist out the ones in the back looked amazing but the ones at the top and the front didnt really hold. They started poofing out a lot quicker than the rest. Shocked at the Owner response. Now youre trying to be nasty. Like I told you that day and yesterday. I washed my hair every week or every 2 weeks. I should have posted the pictures of my two strand twist when I do them myself. No thanks.
Gwynne Mims Salon - Jacksonville Rinnell Cohen: Gwynne was an absolute delight! As a Portland, Oregon transplant and licensed cosmetologist myself, my standards are high, and its been a long journey to finally find the right stylist—how I wish I had discovered Gwynne sooner. I have great respect for professionals who continue honing their craft beyond licensing, and Gwynne exemplifies this with her extensive background in both education and hands-on expertise. Her attention to detail and commitment to ensuring every client leaves with flawless hair is evident. The salon itself is pristine, the products are top-of-the-line, and the kindness you experience feels genuine. Im thrilled to have found my forever hair home with Gwynne—what a relief! Thank you, Gwynne!
