3 /5 Rick Carrube: I would imagine this park was beautiful prior to my first visit with my son and his schoolmates. Open, pond, and acres complement the trails. Unfortunately, the childrens play area has fallen in disrepair. Patches will not stop rotting, rusty steel playground. The county passed 7-0, the purchase of 400 plus acres last week. Plans of a motorway are uncertain. Maintain the parks we have. I visited a small number of Volusia County parks. All of them need repairs. Commissioners most likely havent a need to visit what they vote on.

5 /5 Regina Sawicki: Jack is entering his 6th week anniversary of being adopted from Halifax Humane Society. Tomorrow he goes back for 1 of 3 intensive heartworm treatments so today he came, he saw and he CONQUERED Reed Canal Dog Park! We will be back, once hes able!!!

5 /5 Mike Czosnek: What a beautiful little park! Feed the turtles and see all the different species of ducks and birds, who call the park home. Plus free disc golf and a wonderful place for a barbecue with men’s and women’s always clean bathrooms provided. It’s a half mile walk around the park!

5 /5 Mandie Callis: This is a great in-town park with a playground, dog park, Frisbee golf, and a nice paved trail (which connects to the frisbee golf if you wanna extend your walk unpaved). There were lots of ducks, squirrels, and birds. Theres plenty of parking and two entrances (which do not connect to each other). Really enjoyed the time there. There are restrooms but I didnt use them and cannot verify their cleanliness.

Daytona Beach Bandshell - Daytona Beach Lacy West: Went to hear the Rod Stewart cover band for part of the Summer Music Concerts. Was so good!!! We didnt know at first, but you can take your own chairs or rent the white plastic ones there for $5/chair. We just sat on the wall at the back instead. Had dinner and drinks at one of the places that offers outdoor seating right at the edge of the bandshell. Great experience!

Tiger Bay State Forest - Daytona Beach Robert Banach: Update: No call back from Florida State Forest service, shocking!!! Went online to make a reservation, reserved at Tiger Bay State Forest Foster Pavilion. Arrived at Tiger Bay, grabbed a map and lo & behold, there is NO Foster Pavilion listed. The only camping listed is a primitive site. Well, could not get my truck down the road to this site. Tried calling, and of course, its an answering machine. $28+change out the window, ridiculous!!!

Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens - Port Orange Lori Leung: A lot of paths to walk and the old sugar mill was interesting to see. They had an area that had dinosaur models, but were very old and didn’t look like what a dinosaur would look like, kind of like what you would see in a cartoon, but I guess a child wouldn’t mind seeing it. They have restrooms available that were very clean. It was a nice walk, but hot, humid and it started to pour down rain with lightning and thunder. Glad we had umbrellas and made it back to the car. Probably better to go in the winter months for a quiet walk. Some plants did not have a sign saying what we were looking at on the trails.

GameTime Daytona - Daytona Beach Jake Thomas: The food here is decent. Just be aware that they will charge you gratuity without letting you know beforehand. The $10 Buck Tuesday deal is worth it, and the arcade selection is huge. We easily spent 2 hours here without realizing it. Would recommend.

K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts, Food, Games, and Things to Do In Daytona Beach - Daytona Beach jeff R: Juliana helped us check in. She was so helpful getting my son and I setup and registered. Extremely kind and friendly. Austin gave me the briefing and made sure I was good to go. Track was fun and challenging. After the first race chilling waiting for the next race, Mario stopped by to ask how we were doing and if we needed anything. Entire staff is friendly and helpful. Just a great environment and of course the carts and track are a blast. Waiting for race two! Need to beat my son’s time or I’ll hear about it the entire weekend

Lighthouse Point Park - Ponce Inlet Raina Carrero: We love this park! Fabulous for kids, great place to clean up and restrooms. Dale, the employee there cleaning and locking up, was so kind, he even offered to help us carry our stuff while my husband was carrying our 2 kids. Such a nice guy!

Birthplace of Speed Park - Ormond Beach Ryan Brown: Nice little park with good picnic tables. We parked on E Granada street. Did not go down to the beach because we were just stopping for lunch on our way down to the Keys. They are doing construction and the light to leave never turned green. Had to turn right and do a U turn.

The Manatee - Scenic Boat Tours & Dolphin Cruise - Daytona Beach Soda Pop: This was a great experience to share with our 17 year old daughter who was visiting from out of State. It was chilly, but we had the option of sitting inside which was a great luxury over other boat tours. She loved seeing the dolphins. I cant say thank you enough to the owners who graciously agreed to allow us to move our reservation after my daughter got food poisoning only an hour before we were supposed to leave the dock! Ugh. Thank you again!
