5 /5 Jersey Girl: This was a in between location for my friend and I to meet. We sat by the water and watched a man and his dog playing catch in the water while his wife was feeding the infant. Others were going on paddleboard, taking a dip, fishing, boating, you name it. I hear the current is strong in that area. So be careful. And enjoy yourself and then head to South Lido

5 /5 lester sanchez: Beautiful place for photographers to take pictures, amazing view, a nice pet to fish and a park next to the ocean for kids and they also sell fishing bait. When I went they had a live concert from a local cover band. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

5 /5 White Robin G. (Rev. Robin): This is one of my favorite places to come because it is easy to get to, quick, has ample parking and great views. You can launch your paddle board our kayak from here. There are lots of bikers, joggers and walkers. Plenty of benches along the way. The water is usually tranquil. There is a lot of traffic noise because you are directly on the roadway. Id add to be careful for falling coconuts. There are plenty of coconut palms. And tons of birds. This is actually known as Bird Key Park and with good reason. There are lots of fish and fishing birds. Youll see pelican, osprey, sea gulls, ibis, egret, heron, tern and roseate spoonbills from time to time.

5 /5 astrida mcfarland: This is a very popular bridge in the Sarasota-Siesta Key-Longboat areas because of their connection. The RCB was reconstructed in the early 2000s and is supposed to last for 75 years. It is a favorite with pedestrians, runners and walkers, fishermen, mommas with baby strollers, tourists, bicyclists, and dog-walkers. There is a walkway built on the bridge, which measures about .6 miles one way or 1.3 miles there and back. Good exercise. You can also walk over to the Bayfront Park in Sarasota, which is located on the north end of the bridge. Bird Key Park is located at the south end of the bridge. Both parks are worth visiting. At night, the bridge is lit up with bright royal blue lights. In the evenings, it is pretty crowded with people watching the sunset! I love it. We traveled over it at least twice a day while we stayed in Sarasota.
