1 /5 NF TX: What an awful place filled with awful people who have some bad karma coming to them. Mark my words, something much worse than what you did to my mother is coming your way to anyone who was involved. I hope it was worth it.
My mother went in to get all of her teeth extracted due to suffering from a disease that deteriorates her teeth, along with getting full permanent dentures. My mother’s insurance covered the cost of the extractions and the dentist office told my mother the dentures would need to be paid out of pocket and they required the payment up front. I then paid ~$2k for my mother’s dentures to ensure the work could be scheduled and completed without interruption. Following extractions and temporary dentures provided for my mother (not intended to be her permanent dentures as they were huge, uncomfortable and not fitted / customized for my mother’s mouth), they advised her that she would need to pay additional money on top of what I had paid and what the insurance covered in order to get her permanent dentures. I can’t remember the exact amount they quoted but it was in the thousands.
Completely appalled at what we were hearing, we began to review the insurance claim and out of pocket payment to investigate why we were being told this. It turns out this company charged both my mother’s insurance and me for the same charges - the extractions. They were able to get away with this by having me make the payment out of pocket before the work began and then five months later, filing the insurance claim for the extractions to get another payment from the insurance company (total extraction cost was under $2k and they ended up getting paid almost $4k both from me and the insurance company) thereby, charging twice for the same procedure, even thought they told me and my mother that my payment would specifically cover the permanent dentures following the extraction work.
Out of a ~$2k bill, I was refunded barely $200 and my mother was unable to rectify the insurance claim on the money paid for the extractions to have it put towards the dentures, due to this office filing the claim five months later and the obvious fraudulent paperwork and processing this office conducted.
I don’t get to see my mother often as I live in a different state this was the year we were supposed to have share Thanksgiving together and she would meet my in laws for the first time. However although she visited me, she was so embarrasssed with the unfitted temporary dentures that she cried and did not feel fit to meet anyone because she couldn’t chew her food with those dentures. My mother suffers from multiple diseases and other health issues and to add onto them, now she wasn’t able to smile, be confident or enjoy her food or social interactions with others. Your office single-handedly ruined a special Thanksgiving for my family which lands on my father’s birthday who passed away a couple of years ago. Shame on all of you who did this to her/us. For me it was never about the cost, I’d pay $10k if I had to but your company took advantage of good people in need and then wouldn’t return her calls to rectify the issue or figure out an alternative solution. You just treated my mother like someone with an infectious disease and ensured she would not see any justice to this atrocious scandal. We have all the paperwork and proof we need, with all of the approvals and charges so if any lawyer wants to take this case, we’re game. And before you reply with your standard “I’m sorry this never should have happened, we will follow up with you to ensure it’s corrected.” Or you try to tell us we’re confused, let me just set the record straight to the readers that you won’t correct it and we aren’t confused. You make false promises on here to save face and try to make your company look like they care. You don’t care.
Please everyone spend your money elsewhere where the people are genuine. I wish all the best to those in need of good dental care. I will be spending an additional $5k with another dentist to make this finally right for my mother.
