1 /5 ada hernandez: My experience with this office was disappointing. I chose this office because of the great reviews on Google and because this particular office was in network with my insurance. So here is the good. The office is located in a very nice area, clean and the staff was friendly. This is were the good ends. I was scheduled for a 2PM appointment for extraction of a wisdom tooth. I arrived early filled out all necessary paperwork. I was examined by the Dentist at approximately 3PM, a treatment plan was completed shortly thereafter. I was then seen by the hygienist who was very enthusiastic in conducting a cleaning, however, I didnt schedule myself for a cleaning. Shortly after I declined the cleaning, I was told the dentist could not see me. I was scheduled to come back the next day, in which I did. My second visit wasnt any better. I was told that the dentist didnt want to just do an extraction. He wanted to conduct part of the treatment plan which would cost me a whopping $1,800 on top of what my insurance company was going to pay out. Get this, the total cost of over $13K. I went to this in network provider for a simple extraction. The Dentist refused to conduct the extraction unless I agree to paying the $1800. I walked out. I was called again a couple of days later and was told the doctor had agreed to the simple extraction. I figure why not go since they had already conducted X-Rays. The day before my appointment I was called and told that the extraction which was approved and to be paid in full by insurance, had an additional cost of $200. I asked how is this possible as the claim was already approved. The lady at the office responded that the Dentist uses some" irrigation" to clean after the tooth extraction. What? Irrigation of water costs $200. I called my insurance company who absolutely agreed that I needed to find another office. It appears this particular office uses misc. procedures to "beef up" the claim. These procedures are normally covered under approved procedure, in my case, a tooth extraction. These uncovered fees will then become the responsibility of the patient. I moved on and found a new dentist and they dont charge the extra fees. This review was written with my wifes profile since I dont have a Google account. Best of luck to everyone and please conduct your due diligence when choosing a dentist.
