  • Stinson Park - Jacksonville Wade: The park is well laid out and has a little playground. Great views of the river. Lots of squirrels and some birds. The only downside is that there often times seems to be some sketchy characters that hang around the park and every time we have been it seems to be quite crowded. It’s also very small. But nonetheless it’s a good park.
Theodore Roosevelt Area at Timucuan Preserve - Jacksonville Briana Moore: Great park! Worth a visit for sure. Everyone i hiked by was smiling! Thanks for this treasure, Willie Brown!
Jessie Ball DuPont Park - Jacksonville Roxy Hall: It’s truly amazing. That tree is over 100 years old and still growing.
Gardens at Trout River Plaza - Jacksonville Eric Udry: Beautiful garden on the St. Johns River
Deck The Chairs, Inc - Jacksonville Beach astrida mcfarland: 12/19/24 The first night of our trip, we decided to go see the Deck the Chairs exhibition to get into that Christmasy mood in Jacksonville. It was around 11pm after we had dinner. We drove over to the area and found parking very easily. There is no charge for this exhibition. It is the size of a couple of short blocks to walk around in. It is well kept up with paved sidewalks. There were lots of families walking around at that time and it is well lit up so we were not scared to be out there. We found it relaxing and fun. There were nice exhibits that would appeal to all ages. We would go see it again next time we are in that area.
The Escape Game Jacksonville - Jacksonville Rita Loeding: Yay! So much fun - definitely met our expectations. We even did a second Escape because we enjoyed the first one so much. The staff members were so friendly and helpful- they made sure we were comfortable and felt safe. We did “The Prison Break” and “Gold Mining”. They level the games by difficulty- that’s very helpful. They also help you select the game that is best for your size of group if you want their help - also extremely helpful. There’s shirts and novelties to purchase if you’d like. Shirts are nice quality. Cold beverages available. The restrooms were clean and there’s a drinking fountain. Easy finding the building. We had plenty of parking. There’s restaurants in the same shopping center if you want to do multiple games and need to eat. So glad we came… definitely coming back.
Camp Milton Historic Preserve - Jacksonville Bunny Knows Best: I love shooting here! As a photographer, I’ve had this location booked the most! It offers perfect variety. Careful with planning any weekend shoot’s especially around the golden hour cause you may have to rock-paper-scissors other photographers for a spot!
Clarke House Park - Orange Park Haley Rasmussen: If youve never been to this park, make the drive and CHECK IT OUT! This playground is next to the historical Clarke House so you can get a little exercise and history, all in one! I took my 1.5 year old and he had the best time exploring every part of the park. They have so many types of play equipment I have never seen in other parks. The long zip line and the chair zip line were not working while we were there but it didnt feel like we were missing out on anything with so many other fun things to play on.
Ritz Theatre & Museum, Jacksonville - Jacksonville Ansa Reams-Johnson: I was at the Ritz for the Cecile McLorin Savant jazz concert. It is a beautiful building. The theater was clean as a whistle. The employees were wonderful as they directed us through the respective parts of the building. I have been to the Ritz for several events over the years. I have always had a great experience.
Driftwood Beach - Jacksonville Jessica Floyd: Tucked behind a peaceful half-mile trail lies one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. White, soft sand meets scattered driftwood trees, creating a stunning scene that feels like something out of a dream. Gentle waves roll in and out, Mother Earth playing her soothing soundtrack as you take it all in. It’s a photographer’s paradise—every angle is breathtaking. I give it 5 stars and highly recommend visiting at least once in your lifetime. Pro tip: go around low tide for the best experience.
