5 /5 Matthew Giles: My AC went out and I could self diagnose a bit, but needed a professional to evaluate and do the work. The other guys quoted $500 for a diagnostic and $1,500 - $4,000. I took it to Doug and he did a free diagnostic and found out the compressor was needing replacement and even showed me how it went bad and why. He ordered the part and received it next day, then immediately began work and had my car ready before noon the next day. Super professional, super friendly, and super affordable compared to a larger shop. Ill be going back for any service needs and highly recommend him to anyone that needs an affordable option with top tier customer service and work. Also, Id like to mention that yes he does ask for you to pay upfront for the part. He has to order it and youre asking for him to trust you, when he probably hasnt known you for more than a few minutes, and he has a business to run. Hopefully you understand that covering the cost of the part upfront is a very acceptable business practice and the labor fees are due after the service has been done. I just saw a comment below that seemed to shock the person he would ask for money for the part before starting the job, and it seems unreasonable for him to eat the cost on someone he doesnt know.

He’s a hard worker, and his prices are very reasonable for the quality of service he provides. I’ll be recommending him to everyone in my family! I also noticed some people complaining about diagnostic fees, but mechanics have to charge for their time and expertise—just like any skilled professional. Diagnosing an issue takes work, even if the customer decides not to move forward with the repair. Suncoast Auto Air & Auto Repair is fair and upfront about pricing, and I appreciate their honesty. Highly recommend them for any AC or auto repair needs!

1 /5 john horner: Gave me a good price to change out my cars ax compressor. Then wanted me to pay a deposit which was more than 60% of the total cost. Then I called multiple times to try to pay it with no response. Finally he answers me and we agreed he’d send a payment link. I was out and unable to pay (for 1 hour) then he said to go to another mechanic. After me waiting trying to get my car fixed wasting my time. Not sure but may be a scam. Not sure. Seems scammy.

5 /5 Steve Henson: Doug is a life saver and genuinely a nice person. He got my jeep in right away for a r134a leak and notice the Schrader valve was leaking. Replaced the faulty valve and charged the system up with fresh r134a. Jeep is nice and cold. Thank you Doug.
