5 /5 StrategyMED Dean: On Wed, March 21, 2018, I called this location and left a voice mail message seeking a return call. Based on the reviews I had read, my expectations were quite low. Within 1 hour, however, a very helpful and polite clinician returned my call answering all my questions and providing additional insight. Her name was Mary; apparently there are 2 Marys at this office.
The following day, Thursday, March 22, I visited the University location and was promptly met by a receptionist who could not have been more warm and friendly. Unfortunately, I failed to get her name but she was a lovely and wonderful woman. She directed me to complete some minimal paperwork which I returned to her and then headed to the seating area. After approx 30-40 minute wait, she called my name to advise me that she was sorry for my delay with being seen and was heading to check on the status. She returned promptly to relay that I was next to be seen.
Fortunately, the same person who returned my call the previous day came to get me and provide the immunization needed. I applauded her for her responsiveness the previous day. She was professional, polite, knowledgeable and was skillful with my injection.
So, I did not have an appt but was instead a walk-in, received professional service at each point of contact, and left within 1hr 10 mins for less than $100. The gentleman who settled my account was I believe Jorge, and he could not have been nicer or more efficient.
In total, my first experience at a health department, at age 54, was a very enjoyable and professional experience. On a side note, each patient I encountered in the waiting room were nice people, too.
