5 /5 Sally Denkert: We were only at the beach for about 1/2 hour because the wind was blowing and it was quite chilly - that’s why I only took 2 pictures! The tide was coming back in so the beach was somewhat narrow, but it wasn’t crowded at all. The sand there is a bit orange, and therefore some of the shells have an orange tinge to them - interesting! The beach has a nice restroom in the parking lot. In warmer weather, I can see this being a popular place for families!

5 /5 Anita Waters: A Beautiful Spot to Spend the Day at the Beach! Its a very clean beach and so are the bathrooms. Not as crowded as other beaches. Great shelling also... I found a couple sharks teeth there.

Orman House Historic State Park - Apalachicola Anne Smoak: Get Ranger Jeremy Roundtree to give you a tour! Such a beautiful home, with attached gardens and a three-soldier monument. Come see historic items inside this house that has been in the family for over 180 years. Check out the ancient furniture, and the mini replica food in the kitchen. take a minute to enjoy the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the parlor and the dining room area. Pick up stairs at the attic and see some storage areas. Original outfits from the family are still in this house. Its amazing that this house is still standing through all of the weather and hurricanes in Florida. Give yourself a good hour and a half for the self-guided tour.

Raney House Museum - Apalachicola mathew mas: I absolutely loved my visit to the Historic Apalachicola Raney House Museum! The tour was informative, engaging, and full of local charm—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Janyce. She’s incredibly charismatic, and her passion for the history of the home and the town really shines through in every story she tells. You can tell she genuinely cares about preserving and sharing Apalachicola’s rich past. The tour is offered for just a $5 donation, which is more than worth it for the insight and experience you receive. If you’re visiting the area, this is a must-do! Janice brings history to life, and the Raney House is a beautiful glimpse into 19th-century Florida life.

Apalachicola Family Airboat Tours - Apalachicola Elizabeth Bingham: Captain Carter was a wonderful guide. My family absolutely loved our trip out and got to see 4 gators! We had so much fun! I highly recommend you take a gator tour. We got to learn all about them and feed them some cheese puffs.

Battery Park - Apalachicola Marty: Florida BBQ Association held a BBQ Cook Off, "Butts and Clucks" event 2025. Great event, awsome food, nice location, great little town to adventure. Was an honor to be one of many judges at this event. Instagram @foodieadventuresusa

Apalachicola Maritime Museum - Apalachicola FJ Morgan: Please visit and contribute. This place is privately funded and is doing much good work on n our area of the PanHandle. It also offers classes and cruises. Recently it restored Debbie Reynold Steamboat which will be joining its cruise fleet.

Joe Budd Wildlife Management Area - Quincy Dennis Parker: It is a beautiful place I Can Only Imagine hunting it one yr

Florida Caverns State Park - Marianna Hinton Jason: The caverns tour was a great overall experience! I will warn you ahead of time you will have to stoop and duck while going through these caverns. There are a couple of areas you pass through on the tour that are around 4 to the ceiling. There were 2 bats that were sleeping also. The tour guide was quick to point them out. The only area flash photography is not allowed is in areas where there are bats. The caverns are beautiful and well lit. The guide was very knowledgeable about the caverns also. I would not recommend these caverns to anyone who can not bent or stoop and walk at the same time. All in all it was a beautiful cavern and a great adventure!

Fun Station - Tallahassee Erica Jones: Amazing is the only way I can describe my first visit to Fun Station. I was very impressed by the information provided on the board about things to do. The checkout experience was so easy, simple and pleasant. The mini golf was so much fun. It was a great time and you get in some exercise. The go carts were zooming around the track. It will satisfy your need for speed. There are also batting cages for those who want to get in some practice. The arcade section was top tier. There are so many games and not just regular games, but awesome games. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. There is so much to do you wont be disappointed.

Lake Talquin State Forest - Amanda E: Basic campground. Vault/pit toilets. No water, no electricity. Quiet and peaceful during my stay. Great views from the fishing pier. Lots of squirrels scurrying about. Picnic table and fire pit at each campsite. Raised parking pad with gravel. You will have to maneuver a well maintained 2.6 mile dirt road in order to access this campground. It became a bit muddy and precarious when it rained but they brought in heavy equipment to level it back out. Rangers come around periodically to clean the bathroom and empty the trash cans. There are no large dumpsters at this location so use small bags when discarding garbage. Theres also a small boat ramp for those interested.

J. Lee Vause Park and Dog Park - Tallahassee Constance Austin: Beautiful park! Very nice pavilions and playground, restrooms, walking paths and board walk! There is both a small dog and large dog park and both are large, treed parks with benches and tables. With two large dogs, that was mainly what I was looking for, but I can see coming back with kids and grandkids and possibly even having a family reunion activity there!
