1 /5 Kirsten O: After faithfully coming to the salon for well over a year and a half, I made the mistake of telling my stylist Taylor that “I don’t like it.” My bad. I got fired from the salon. Told by the owner that my stylist “wasn’t a good fit for me” but “that’s ok.” No, it’s not OK. It’s not OK that you didn’t even try to fix what you guys messed up. No, it’s not OK to dismiss someone who’s been a long-time client because your stylist screwed her hair up. No, it’s not OK to refuse to admit that you made a mistake! I even walked into the salon with my hair almost exactly like the inspiration picture. I left with flat-looking, mousy colored hair that was COMPLETELY different than what I asked and paid for. When I advised Taylor that I didn’t like it—it just wasn’t right (or anything like the photo and my original hair)— she rolled her eyes at me. When I sent the pics to the manager/owner Tanya, she fired me as a client. I’m just astounded. All that was needed was, “I’m sorry we messed it up.” instead, you left me with this as the only forum to leave any lasting impact. Just incredible. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And now people will know that you handle conflict like bratty little children.
The model pic is what I asked for; the two pics are what I got after 3x washing with clarifying shampoo. I was told it was the same—and then fired. Real professional.
