2 /5 Monica McGrath: I went to get a teeth cleaning and cavity filling in June 2023. I was charged around $500. I asked the receptionist if it had been run through insurance and I was told yes even though it had not. At the time of payment, I was charged an additional $22 for using a credit card. I should not have been charged $500 or the additional $22 since they did not send it to insurance first.
I was issued a refund check, which got lost in the mail. It was not sent via certified mail, as it should have been and the dentist referred me to the post office to find it. The post office cannot track checks unless they are sent certified.
They issued a stop payment and a new check. The dentist should have assumed the fee for the stop payment. As the payer, it is their responsibility to ensure I receive the refund payment, regardless of if it was lost in the mail. In the end, I was charged $62 dollars for their administrative errors.
I explained over the phone multiple times, and called them at least five times. On multiple occasions, they assured me they would call back with an answer, and they did not.
Finally I gave up on receiving the $62. I finally received the check in November of 2023, 5 months later.
I know this review is from a while ago, I just wanted to follow up since I did not post it at the time.
