Belk - Tallahassee (FL)

2 /5 Leslie carr: With Macys closed I had to try Belks. It’s a fair store except if you are plus size. That women’s plus size department is on the men’s floor in a small dark area. Clothes are crammed in and sales items from all departments are put in this area and take up about half the space. The worst part is the women’s fitting room is blocked. You must carry your items to the men’s department and use one of their two smaller fitting rooms. There isn’t a single female assistant to be found. It’s quite degrading actually.

3 /5 Brandi Stephens: Was very confused about which way to enter the building bc they have doors up top and down a level closer to the movie theater exit and they should block them doors so people like me that don’t go out shopping too much aren’t so confused when they do wonder out to shop in person. Other then that I had a good experience I guess, though after choosing a tie for my fiance to wear at our wedding I stopped and looked at the makeup and the person that works in that area spoke to me like she thought I was going to steal something, maybe bc I picked up a compact and was just looking at the front back and inside to see if it was powder or a silky type of foundation, idk it just made me feel unwelcome and judged for some reason. I don’t dresss like I belong in the mall I wear comfy clothes, tshirt and jeans mostly tom boyish but I just felt like she thought I was up to something and I DID not appreciate that, I just stopped to look at the makeup while my fiance was trying to find us somewhere to check out. Things like that are just another reason I like to shop online. Just rude, idk if she was just doing her job or not it made me feel uncomfortable. I may have actually made a purchase of some makeup had she not been so short with me

3 /5 nikita sanders: Believe ALWAYS has what im looking for. I get my boots from Belk in particular and I like their selection of kids clothes. But their staff is rude and unfriendly. I passed 10 employees that I counted and only 1 of them was friendly and helpful. 1 was just helpful. The others were immersed in their conversations and werent helpful and ESPECIALLY unfriendly. When I went to check out she was very rude. I would have left my boots but where else can u get nice western boots for $58? The 3 stars are for the boots not the employees
