1 /5 Viv D: While the quality of Talbots clothing is certainly there the customer service of this particular location leaves a great deal to be desired. I went in over the weekend and while every other customer was greeted and helped I was not. I found what I was looking for and let myself into a dressing room. All the other customers, older ladies, were greeted warmly and with enthusiasm, I was not. I cannot help but think this is due my age. I am a millennial but an older one. Often people assume because of my age and youthful appearance that I lack funds. This could not be further from the truth in my case. I have plenty of money and would enjoy spending it at a boutique like Talbots but not if I am going to be ignored and treated like an unwanted guest. I can spend my money in other local boutiques in town like Gypsy Rose that appreciate my business and offer me complimentary champagne. Advice to management.: Speak to your older sales people ASAP and inform them not to be so snotty and aloof just because a younger person enters the store. The youth market is where the future is, treat them with the same respect and the same congenial manner as you do your older patrons. I will be writing to corporate in regard to my experience at this location.
