Phyllis Nicole is an artist! Been a while since my last hair cut, color and highlights... Nicole did a fabulous job, I was more than please and I received a lot of compliments. Nicole helped me pick a color, which I love, cut was perfect and the highlights were to die for... eye catching, blended wonderfully with the color. She also listened to me and made suggestions, she was never pushy. My next appointment is Monday - Happy me!!!

Cin S. I cant express how thrilled I am about my recent experience with my pedicure service! After searching high and low for the perfect spot in town, I found it! Ive tried everything from the ordinary places next to that popular chain, starting with a "P" to high-end spas, but nothing compares to what Ms. Cookie offers. She was wonderful! Not only did she take her time, but our conversation made the entire experience even more enjoyable. And let me tell you, my feet look beautiful. They are absolutely spotless and gorgeous—I can’t stop admiring them! Thank you so much, Ms. Cookie! You truly made my day!

Mollie Greer Would not recommend. Went in for a full highlight/cut. I asked for caramel highlights and wanted lots of layers. Was told I would be charged more because I have long hair (no problem, I understand more product needs to be used). But what I got was not caramel and non even highlights. I didn’t have time for her to fix it or money (because she said she’d have to charge me more). I called to be refunded and make my complaint so that I didn’t create a scene in the salon. The owner asked that I come in so that she could see my hair to decide what to refund me. While I was refunded part of my money the owner’s attitude was completely rude. I showed up to show her my hair job (like she asked) and she seemed completely uninterested and like she didn’t know why I was there. She looked at the front of my hair and the side at a glance and said “besides that chunk in the front it looks fine”. Ok 1. You didn’t even care to look at ALL my hair 2. SHouldnt all of my hair look good??! I should haven’t any spots that look bad. Thanks for the refund but not the rude demeanor. Never returning. Don’t spend your money here! Jeannette Richardson I highly recommend this beautiful place. I came to Ocala from out of town for a wedding and was looking for a last minute make up artist. The owner Shawana took such great care of me accommodated me into her schedule and exceeded my expectations!! I felt so beautiful with my make up and will definitely be using her for future occasions!!

Christina Lynn I’m from out of town so I was already nervous. I had my go to girl for waxing back home and have never been anywhere else for this. I’m a plus size girl so that just make it a little more nerve racking. But beautiful Ms. Shawana made me feel comfortable. She talked me through each step of the process. Her office is set up so nice and clean. She made it feel like we were having a girls day with friends. She has herself a new client while I’m here visiting. Thank you!

Qhuantae Nunn Ive loved every experience at Love of Beauty Bar! Shawanna is professional, clean and knowledgeable in this area. I also love her facial products. She never disappoints! She takes her time and make you feel welcome and educates you during the entire process. I definitely recommend her and will continue to use her for my skin care.

Tiffany Stull This is one of the more pleasant salons in Ocala. Its nicely spacious, and the staff is always friendly. Caraliz is absolutely amazing; she perfectly executes my desired hairstyle every time. I have always been quite particular about who cuts and styles my hair, so its a relief to have found someone Im comfortable with.

Kairi Hill I 100% recommend this salon. Such a clean and cute environment. I see Courtney who does a fabulous job. I let her take full control and she always leaves me stunned with my results. If you’re looking for a stylist I’d highly recommend her.

Jessica Jones Ok so… I am very picky due to the horrible things that have happened to my hair! I would follow Meagan to the ends of the earth. Thank ALL GODS AND GODDESSES she ended up here! This place is so friendly warm and welcoming! It’s huge, and very well maintained. And the bathroom!!! Yesssss heated toilet seat it sprays your booty lol if you want. I feel fancy af boy! ❤️❤️ All jokes aside aside please give it a try I won’t be going anywhere.

Melissa Lilley I first want to say that the salon is super cute and the girls that work there are very sweet and I chose this salon/stylist based off the great reviews that I read and I was greatly disappointed in the outcome of my hair. I came in with grown out ashy/white blonde with my natural regrowth and was wanting the same tone of blonde just blended in. I left with splotchy gold/orange down to my already ashy ends. I literally fought back tears till I got in my car. I needed my hair done for my sisters baby shower the next day and I’m so embarrassed with how my hair looks. I’m not asking for a refund and I definitely don’t want the stylist to try and “fix” it, I just wish she would have said she couldn’t achieve my desired look than to leave with this mess. I won’t be returning to this salon.

Trista Black I am so very thankful to have Valine as my stylist!! She is not only professional, but genuinely sweet, and is beyond superb in her field of art!! I’ve never thought of a stylist as an artist until I witnessed Valine’s work. I’ve been going to her for my hairstyling needs for almost 10 years. Before Val, all of my hair coloring/haircut experiences had been a disaster to say the least. I have a mix of wavy, loose curls, and extreme curly hair so to find someone who is skilled enough to do my hair has always been a challenge. That’s where Valine came in! EVERY single time I have left Valine’s salon, I have left with exactly the cut and color I wanted. She is thorough and takes the time to make sure exactly what I want and how I want it, and then creates a work of art with my hair. What a blessing she has been to me and continues to be!! If you are in search for the BEST hair stylist/artist in the area, Valine is it!!

Taylor Moving to a new area i was stressed about finding a new salon. I chose this one. I walked in and showed Sara what i wanted and she was very confident she could accomplish it. I came in blonde and wanted some strawberry...i have never had someone put color on my hair at the shampoo bowl ....i thought it was odd. As she started to blow dry all i saw was brown... i left with ginger red roots and the rest was da splotchy ashy brown....i tried to contact the shop for my money back. Havent heard anything back.i washed it was Dawn dish soap to get some of the brown out. the next day i went to another salon and got it fixed immediately and it looks great now! photos below are what i left Meraki with .....i do not recommend.

Angel T. Torres I went to Shimmer Salon and did a keratin treatment with a trim and she did an amazing job with my long hair. She took the time to go over with me what the best options were to get my hair healthy again and was very sweet and professional. I highly recommend this salon for all your hair needs.

Kim Gramman I love Shimmer Salon they get in and out of there you look beautiful when you leave. They take good care of you. Use great products very affordable. I’m always very pleased with my hair. I’ll be back in a couple months.

Stitch N Print I took my daughter to Shimmer Salon for a haircut, and we couldnt be happier with the experience! Yelina did an amazing job, listening to what we wanted and offering great suggestions. My daughter left with a beautiful haircut that she absolutely loves! The salon is clean and has a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning for future visits! Highly recommend!

But to my surprise, Erika at Kosmerika Organika Hair Salon has far exceeded my expectations! She listened to what I wanted, asked me questions, showed me how to properly style my bangs at home, and was just overall so sweet! They also offer so many other services from nails, massages, and bridal!

brittani scinlari Hope we very professional. Wrecked a bad bleach job by trying to do it myself and although it was impossible to get it to the color I wanted she was able to lighten it significantly without it falling out and still made it wearable. Baby steps but any other salon would most likely just tell me to go darker or completely ruin my hair. It still feels soft to the touch and looks healthy. Excited to get it to where I want it but super proud of the hairdresser for not pushing me past what my hair could take just because I wanted another color and was a little upset. Appreciate the honesty and that hair is still on my head. Would recommend her to anyone.

jibabc1 I have naturally curly (dry) blonde greying 2b curls. Karen Terry does such an aMAzing job ! My hair won’t hold toner so she lifts the highlights perfectly, no need for toner. I bring web images and she explains which parts of haircuts will work, which won’t work, then combines them to get the look I want. She is truly a hair artist ! room 114

Special discounts are offered periodically as well. I was at a loss when she first left OTOW, but pleased to find that she has brought her skill and her soothing touch to this new location as a manager and provider.
