Zakariah1971 Called a number of local dental offices for weeks seeking basic new patient services: dental cleaning, x-ray, filling and extraction. Also dental insurance. Most of the dental offices I called were very poor getting me information. Bayfront Dental staff were very professional. Strong clear English and professional over the telephone. In person on my visit Stephanie (office manager) gave me a nice “Welcome to Bayfront Dental” which was a warm human touch. Very thorough and inviting dental practice. Dr. Weiner is approachable and is great teaching dental options be it filling or extraction. One of the techs who took my x-rays has been with the practice 32 years. I met maybe one other female staff in fifty-three years who has been with her employer (Safeway) so long. That speaks volumes. Excellent dental practice. Five stars!

Luis Hernandez I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Dr. Alejandro San Jorge’s dental team. I have been a loyal patient for almost 20 years, but recently had the unfortunate experience of missing a cleaning appointment. I mistakenly thought my appointment was on Friday when it was actually on Thursday. As soon as I realized my error, I immediately called the office to explain. To my surprise, I was told I would be charged a $50 no-show fee. While I understand the importance of policies, all I asked for was a small gesture of courtesy, given my long-standing relationship with the practice. I was told that waiving the fee was not possible due to corporate policy. This response left me feeling that, after almost two decades of trust and loyalty, the human element of patient care has been lost. It seems that since Dr. San Jorge joined this new practice, the focus has shifted more toward strict policies than fostering the relationships he once built with his patients. While I do not wish any harm to the doctor or his team, it’s clear that they prioritize profit over long-term patient loyalty. As a result, I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope that, in the future, the practice might reconsider how they balance policy with customer care.

EmCe I regret going to this place. A year or so ago, I got crowns that I ultimately dont know if I needed. The work performed was horrible, and I ended up having to pull one of the teeth because it smelled horrible and never felt right; I always had sensitivity and pain. I got my money I paid back from them, but it was too little, too late. They offered to give me a root canal, which I had to pay for, basically they didnt own their mistakes. Long story short, the crown was never done right and on top they left a hole in the tooth and a hole in between the crown. Dont be fooled for the little wheel they have or at least had when I went, offering you a prize when you spin the wheel if you leave a good review. Ill report them to the dental board which i regret not doing before.

Jasmine Lee I chose this office because of the positive reviews and it ended up nearly costing me thousands of dollars. The staff at the front desk was very attentive and helpful, but the dentist who examined my teeth said that my gums were so bad, that I needed to come in every quarter for $1000 worth of treatments each time, paid out of pocket. He didnt offer to show me what was wrong in the x-rays and when I had asked, he stood in front of the display as if to block my view even though I told him I couldnt see them. His assistant was able to explain what was wrong but his defensive behavior was enough for me to realize I needed a second opinion. So I found another doctor who looked at my teeth and they found nothing wrong. Dont come here if you value your time and have HMO insurance plan.

Elena Sanchez SCAM! Beware as Aspen Dental is a greedy company and a complete scam. I should have come to Yelp before I made my appointment, and hopefully if you are here, these reviews will deter you from wasting your time. After moving to the River landing area a few months ago, my partner and I needed a new dentist for a routine cleaning so I made appointments for us here for a Saturday morning. Upon entering, I was taken immediately to take X-rays. I indicated that I had done them a year ago and could have had them sent ahead of time if they had said I would need them. She said I would not be able to be seen by the dentist if I refused X-rays... so I got them done. After XRays and a series of other scans (which Im assuming my insurance was billed for) a hygienist and the dentist saw me and indicated I had gingivitis, which I have never had in my life. After an hour and a half, still no dental cleaning had been done. I was escorted to a lounge where I waited 20 mins to then be seen by the billing department before I could have my cleaning done. I was very confused as I have literally never paid a penny for a routine cleaning for as long as Ive had insurance. The woman quoted me $141 for a ROUTINE CLEANING which should be completely covered by my insurance. She said there was "Gum therapy" that needed to be done during the cleaning, but she could not explain to me what this entailed. When I said I would just like my free dental cleaning, she said that the doctor "could not" do that.... How does an ethical doctor turn away a patient needing a basic dental cleaning?? It was $141 or I leave... again after I had been there for almost 2 hours without any cleaning. My partner was quoted $250 for a deep cleaning or no cleaning at all. We both left after 2.5- no teeth cleaning occurred. Save your time, your money, and your sanity. Go somewhere else.

Positive experience with all dental hygienist, most recently attended to by Rosalif who has very good hands. Dr. Mikhael was personable and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction.

Kristin Racis Would give 0 stars if I could. Im not one to write a review, let alone a bad review. I moved from PA to Miami and was looking for a new dentist in the area. The point of this review is to save anyone new from going here. Believe the bad reviews on yelp. I went in to establish as a new patient and get a cleaning done. I was there for 2 hours and received X-rays and panel done of my teeth. I needed 2 cavities fixed which is fine I have dental insurance. I was told they were 2 large cavities and one was going to lead to a root canal if not fixed and I was going to need a tooth reconstruction. They later came back quoting me $660 to fix 2 cavities. I asked if this was ran through my insurance and they said "yes and its actually one of the better insurances weve seen." I was skeptically and never in my life paid that much to fix a cavity or pay that much at a dentist period. I decided to leave and reschedule for another day and go talk to some people for advice. I never even received a cleaning in the 2 hours I was there. The following day I contacted my dental insurance to see what was going on. They told me with my coverage the maximum amount should be $75 and that they never even received a Pre Determination Form from my visit, meaning they never submitted anything to my insurance. I decided to go elsewhere and get a second opinion. I did have 2 cavities which were fixed. The cavities were never going to lead to a root canal as it was not that deep and they dont know why a tooth reconstruction was even mentioned. My insurance COVERED EVERYTHING. The 2 cavities to fix were FREE. I left the office paying a $10 copay fee for the visit. DO NOT GO HERE, THEY ARE COMMITTING INSURANCE FRAUD.

They charged for services that were not provided and made it difficult to book with the doctor we specifically requested, instead pushing new, unfamiliar staff on us. This felt deceptive and unprofessional, and we felt pressured into appointments we didn’t want. To make matters worse, the hygiene at this office is very poor, which is unacceptable in a medical setting. The environment did not feel clean or properly sanitized, which only added to our discomfort and concerns about the quality of care. Ted C I had a routine cleaning with Valentina. Unfortunately I found her service quite rough and undetailed. She pricked my gum several times during the cleaning, and I had water splashing over my face and dripping on to my neck. She doesnt seem to care and rushed to finish my cleaning in about 20 min, which usually takes me 30-40 mins with my old dentist. I had a small dental filling which I have to pay about $300 after insurance coverage. I was not informed about the cost until its all done. As a normal patient I would expect them to communicate those information before hand. I think they have a lot room to improve.
