Hight rate 20 location for tourist in Key West, FL (part 3)

MC C This barrel-shaped landmark is the southernmost point of the continental United States and a famous check-in spot 90 miles from Cuba. It was hot on March 24, but I wasnt sweating yet. We lined up to take pictures but didnt get a good picture the first time. So we lined up again for the second time, and thanks to the friendly person behind us, he took a great photo of us. Each time, we lined up for about 20-30 minutes. I also purchased some intriguing souvenirs.

Be prepared to wait in line for photos, especially during peak hours. Currently, road construction is underway, but it’s not causing much disruption. If you visit during regular daytime hours, expect long wait times. To avoid the crowds, early morning is the best time to go. There are also great restaurants nearby for a delicious breakfast.

Just go early in the morning, roll for patience, and maybe bring a bard to keep morale high while you wait.

Fred Reilly Its a point. Schedule your visit based on cruise ships in town. If the cruise ship is in town, theres a long line. I waited until after 5:00 p.m. after the cruise ship left and there was no wait. Its a beautiful spot. If you get there just before sunset you can take some great photos. And while youre there, go to Pepes for dinner. Bacon cheeseburger was delicious and so are the fries but the key lime pie was the best Ive ever had .
