Wendy Land I have been attending church here for almost a year. My first visit I was welcomed at the front door by Pastor Paul. They had their church service and after invited me to the fellowship hall where they gathered together for a meal. Everyone made me feel like family. I felt as though I had known these folks my whole life I now go not only to the Sunday morning service but to Sunday school before the service, and Sunday night,as well as Wednesday night Bible study Pastor Paul teaches KJV and gives all the glory to the Lord.Amen

Mary Strait This is a wonderful, small church with very friendly people who try to make you comfortable. Most are local, neighbors who are serious about helping each other out. A low pitched religious service with a very sweet pastor who gives a sensible kind of sermon. A nice change from the mega church screaming and preaching of hell and damnation.

Roads Traveled Photography This church was built in 1906 by Will Heacock and Tom Jordan on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Blocker. The pioneer congregation which worshipped at Mt. Olive Church on the Dowling Place about a mile away had decided it was too far from "town." In 1928 when Townsend House Church near Hancock Lake discontinued regular services, several of its members joined here. The congregation diminished as the lumber and turpentine industries moved away. Most current members are kinfolk of the pioneer settlers.
