5 /5 Terry Lopez: We had dinner at Bavaria on Sunday evening after walking around downtown Pensacola. It was interesting as the front of the restaurant was a German bar and the rear a pizzeria. We were greeted by staff and sat at our table quickly. Our server was friendly and informative. We ordered a giant pretzel as an appetizer, but unfortunately it did not arrive until after our food had arrived and our server did not realize it. He said someone in the kitchen had marked it as served. When I said we really wanted it as an appetizer was told oh it will warm up good. We were visiting and staying at a hotel so did not have a good way to reheat so just ended up throwing it away. The pretzel was average and we could tell it was a frozen and not freshly made one. We also ordered a pizza (I forgot to take a photo) and it was good. It was cooked in an open wood fire and was fresh. I ordered the fig and goat cheese burger and it was so DELICIOUS!!! Definitely recommend ordering that! My son had the bacon cheese burger but for him the pretzel bun was too much bread. Overall a good choice for dinner.
