5 /5 Keith Gaspard: An amazing diner I had the privilege of enjoying. In my humble opinion, at the writing of this review, McDonalds has grown way too big for its britches. You pay $10+ for fast food that used to be the staple for people who had a couple of bucks and just need a cheap burger. All that to say, McDonalds is right next door and I do dont understand why everyone isnt trickling into this amazing place for about the same price point. Everyone needs to know about this place!
The menu is tight and offers diverse options, perfect for breakfast or lunch with a few fun and unique twists. Everything is named after sections of trains. Theres one item on the menu named, "Casey Jones" and Im sure that has something to do with trains, but I kept asking myself, "what does that guy from Ninja Turtles have to do with this place?"
I ordered the, "Junction." A generous portion of butterflied fried chicken on top of a decent southern biscuit topped with white gravy and shredded cheese and choice of sides, of which I had the home fries. For a side, their home fries are proper with crispy bits of onion scattered throughout. The chicken was well seasoned and the breading was a thicker but not overbearing by any means. The chicken is one part of a greater whole because the flavors combined together are a savory gravy experience. Its like a kick of southern breakfast to the face. Love it!
We shared a plate of their cinnamon swirl pancakes as an appetizer. Sweet and fun, just like their staff. Every server had colorful nails and they were the perfect level of attentive, popping over to check in and top off coffee but not hovering.
Despite being super busy, the food came out quick and the quality and taste were everything we were hoping for. They have some seasoned wizards working behind the scenes! Magical.
Overall, excellent service!
Thank you for a great experience and well be back!
