4 /5 Jose David Alvarez: MILA Miami is a fantastic and sophisticated MediterrAsian restaurant, rooftop lounge and mixology bar located
in the heart of Miami Beach.
I came for my birthday with my family and what a treat it was! I mean, WOW!
The food here draws influences from the Mediterranean and Japan, and the dishes are served in the informal izakaya dining style, meaning they are meant to be shared at the table. Basically, tapas style. We tried the skinny spicy margaritas, several dishes (pictured), and three desserts. Everything was delicious, particularly the desserts.
The service was superb and the entire vibe was sophisticated. The common areas were, spacious, clean and easy to walk in. It is centrally located, but parking is limited. There are two paid public open parking lots nearby, which get crowded, so I highly encourage you to make it with plenty of time ahead.
Also, make sure to make a reservation if you want a table, but you can walk in and seat at the bar with full access to the menu without one (I would not risk it, though).
This is a high-end restaurant, so be ready to pay top dollar for the entire experience. They are strict with the dress code and read those dress code instructions carefully.
Overall, highly recommended for really special occasions.
