4 /5 William Harvey: We stopped in after some shopping. We were warned by the bartender that they were understaffed and apologized from the start. I didnt see any ridiculous delays, she tried very hard.
My GF ordered the Spicy Pineapple Margarita...loved it, said it was"spicy, sweet, and tangy all at the same time."
We ordered 2 entrees to share; the Steak Frites, and the Fish n Chips, all were very generous portions. The Steak Frites was great in itself, unfortunately the au jus fell a little short, and just didnt add anything to the steak. Unfortunately the side of shoestring potatoes were cold and soggy...that was the most disappointing part of this entree.
The fish was fried (as expected) and was crispy on top, but soggy on the bottom, and definitely could have been better. The fish was haddock and was a nice size filet, but the soggyness of the bottom on the batter didnt give the piece any structural integrity and just kind of fell apart when I tried to pick up a piece of it. With the fish was the chips side: The steak fries
(I ordered well done) were perfectly crunchy, but flakey inside...definitely great. The coleslaw was mild and refreshing and seasoned with a little vinegar, salt, and pepper...sincerely very good.
Overall, I will definitely try this place again because the potential is there. It is a little pricey but the portions made up for the elevated price. Next adventure here soon.
