4 /5 Rico Judel: My wonderful friend just moved to Defuniak, and we went to go to the lights downtown and stumbled upon this gem. My partner being a little Nola herself was already set for this adventure together into new culinary territory. The inside reminded me of an old downtown New Orleans vibe with lots of gold and flash. Being a catfish lover already we had to get the appetizer which did not disappoint. Came out hot and fresh and honest to god it was so flavorful itself that it didn’t need any hot sauce. But I still added some in case you were wondering… I got their signature dish with blackened fish, crab topping and a butter sauce, the crab stuffing was slightly dried out but overall enjoyed the dish. K got the etouffee, which wasn’t to bad but had much better, some shrimp were soggily but overall not bad for the area. Finished with the benigns, more croissant style the doe but still good. Definitely coming back for the cat fish alone and can’t wait to explore more options.
