The Station Bar & Grub - Sanford (FL)

4 /5 Joseph Paparella: This place is a former fire station turned sports bar. There’s lots of fire station decor and plenty of TVs. We went on a busy Friday night, and the place was loud. A large party near us made it tough to hear across the table. Our server was friendly, but with only a few staff covering the entire restaurant, things were understandably slow. Our table was cleared but not fully clean, though they wiped it down when we asked. We started with the Roasted Pork Tostones, which were delicious but hard to split and came without side plates or silverware. For entrées, my wife ordered the Herb Marinated Chicken Sandwich (tender and flavorful with the blackened option), and I got the Patty Melt, which was excellent. The tater tots were crispy and generously portioned. Overall, the food was good, the staff worked hard, and the atmosphere is lively if you don’t mind noise.

5 /5 Steve Ramirez: Amazing place the food was absolutely flavorful! What really threw it over the top was the service! I dont know what this Sherry lady just wrote but I definitely didnt see what she saw... Sherry must not understand how things work. Ryan and Kirsten were nothing less than outstanding. I hear Peyton is amazing and cant wait to come back and see her! As a 20 year military vet the patience and professionalism these servers provided was simply the best. Thanks for treating me and my wife with the utmost respect. Definitely coming back!

1 /5 Brian Latisha: We stopped by because the atmosphere looked cool, and it is a great spot to relax, watch TV, and play games. However, the food was a huge letdown. By far the worst food I had from a restaurant. ​My boyfriend ordered the chili cheese dogs, fried pickles (wasnt that bad), and I got the supreme tacos. Both dishes were awful. The meat tasted exactly like canned, low-quality meat. My boyfriend even said his hot dog topping tasted like dog food which was the same meat on my taco. Was not worth $45. It was a waste of money. ​To make matters worse, the centerpieces on the tables were all dirty, where the condiments sit. Since they had just opened for the day, theres no excuse for the poor cleanliness. ​Come here for a drink and the atmosphere, but I would highly recommend skipping the food.

5 /5 Adam Skove: I would like to give this place a 5 star review and am willing to change it in the future if the service improves. Theres a lot to be desired in the service aspect of this restaurant. We came Monday for lunch and it was only about 75%-80% full. Twice, food came to our high top asking if we ordered this food they had brought when we didnt. Some of the waiters and waitresses looked stressed as they came in and out of the kitchen in the back. There definitely needs to be a better way to assign the food coming out of the kitchen to go to the correct table. Didnt think it was that hard. So service was not very good, but the food and beer selection was top notch! When we did get our right food, it was very tasty and fresh. Their beer selection was very extensive as well. Ive been here twice and will be back eventually. I would also like to mention the prices were very reasonable as well. The lack of feedback on these reviews from the manager/ownership also says a lot about their willingness to improve where need be. Edit :07/18/2022. Yesterday afternoon we had a delicious lunch and the service was improved compared to our last visit. The station’s excellent food and beer menu keep having us come back. S/O to Chance?, our waiter.

1 /5 David Morillo: We stopped in today (Monday) specifically because the website clearly advertises a wing special on Mondays and Thursdays. Once we arrived, we were told the special would not be honored. What was most disappointing was the response from the manager—there was no effort to honor what the website reflects, offer an alternative, or make any attempt to retain us as customers. Had my wife not already ordered an appetizer before this came to light, we would have left immediately. This experience showed a lack of accountability for inaccurate information on their website and resulted in very poor customer service overall. Unfortunately, it left a negative impression and makes it hard to recommend returning.
