1 /5 Zelda Beakman: I went to Dr. Chichetti a number of years ago and was curious why my teeth looked a little bit different from most peoples. I asked him why mine had small ridges on the end. He explained that they were a holdover from childhood that normally disappears. Without even giving me a chance to consent, he proceeded, enthusiastically and with lightning speed, to file them away with some electric device, leaving sharp edges on my bottom middle teeth. I didnt say anything about it at the time because I was caught off guard, but I didnt like it and never went back. I still shake my head sometimes when I look at those sharp edges in the mirror, edges that I could literally cut my tongue on. I wonder if he charged me extra for the privilege. Doctors of any kind should make sure that they have patients consent for any procedure! I didnt mind my teeth as they were! If hed simply asked, I would have told him so!
