5 /5 Neil Cato: I live in Pensacola, and I normally go to Car City Machine shop for that reason. But I had a weird circumstance a little while back where I just barely had time to get the head off my car and take it to work with me, but I ended up having to work in Crestview that day. Upon recommendation from one of my co-workers, I checked this place out. The staff was extremely helpful, and worked me in on relatively short notice and getting my head resurfaced and checked. I cant recommend these guys enough. If I find myself over in Crestview again and I need some machining done, I wont hesitate to go see them.

2 /5 Bryan Bridges: I was experiencing low compression due to a valve issue. I sent them the head in hopes they would find the problem. From the information that was relayed to me, they found almost no leakage from my valves. I encouraged them to look for a bad cam lobe, valve spring, valve guide, etc. I wasnt informed there was any issue. (I dont believe they gave me the time of day.) After 3 weeks, I picked up my resurfaced head only to find the valve springs (which are different for the intake and exhaust sides) thrown in randomly. Not to mention, the head is littered with metal shavings. I initially went to this place for peace of mind, seeing they have decent reviews. But now Im out $250 and more I have more problems on top of what I had before. I do not recommend this place. Attached is two completely different springs both found on the exhaust side. The left one is round, the right one has sharper edges. Also an obnoxiously long metal shaving waiting to be sucked into the combustion chamber. Further diving into the issue. I have found two camshaft caps without their alignment dowels. I wasnt notified of any missing components. At this point I will be contacting them. Update: They agreed to return half of the money I paid and attempted to help me find the missing dowels. At least they were willing to make things right. So I changed my review from one start to two.

5 /5 Erik Lee: I called almost every shop in Fort Walton and quite a few in east Pensacola. All of them turned me down and said they were “too busy”. I talked with a buddy in my shop and he mentioned this shop. I called and talked with Donnie, dropped my parts off and he had them as good as new within a few days. I have to say, this place is awesome. I will definitely be back for any future work and recommend anyone looking for Machine work, check this place out!

4 /5 Harris James “The SmurfLife”: Man, now the guy who helped me, his name was Donnie, really cool guy that was able to stay focused on what I needed and not go on about what I dont. I called on a humbug about a part they didnt have, had the next day and he even offered to connect the two parts so no damage would happen to the other, AND it took like all of 7 minutes!!! Premium service if you ask me. I gotta go back...
