5 /5 Daddy C (Florida Man): Its a public art installation just off Florida Ave. Its one mile south of downtown and one block west at 118 Park St. It was placed there for public amusement and selfies are encouraged but climbing the often hot and in some places sharp sculpture is not advised. Its about 30 feet long and consists of three pieces that are placed to look as if a serpent dragon made of scrap metal is undulating in and out of the ground. The colors are beautiful in sunlight and if you are in the area it is well worth the detour to check it out...several other really fun places close by too!

Common Ground Playground - Lakeland Mike Mike: Common Ground Playground at Edgewood Park is a fantastic spot for kids! It offers plenty of shade, picnic tables, a great play area for children, bathrooms and ample parking. A perfect place for family outings!

Holloway Park - Lakeland Cheryl Bauman: Excellent location to walk your dogs, go on a hike, take wildlife photography, play disc golf, chase your children around, on run some trails! I took my dogs here again recently and had a blast! My only wish is they would stay open until 8PM instead of 7PM since it’s cooler out later in the evening for my pups. There is a lot of parking on the trails, but none that were pavement if that matters for you. This would be a great location for a 5K race. There was a potapotty that I did use and it was clean. There is also a water spigot at the end of the disc golf trail side near the parking area. There is also a little pond that would be a cute place to picnic.

Chitwood Covered Bridge Mural - Lakeland Michael Mutz: This is a pleasant mural bringing life to a back alley in historic Lakeland! If you are in the area, drive by and take a look!

Lake Morton - Lakeland Adela: The lake is beautiful. It was hard to find parking near a picnic table because they were either full or no parking spot near by so we ended up eating in the car but the scenery was still beautiful with the swans and ducks. So peaceful

Circle B Bar Reserve - Lakeland Reese Parker: Loved the scenery. Nature at its finest for sure. Loved the free parking and free entry to this place. Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes when coming here. I learned the hard way (I had on flip flops) We got to see lots of alligators up close and personal. Saw lots of birds and even a turtle. The people visiting were very nice and repeat visitors too. The workers were very pleasant and spoke to us giving us information for future visits as far as tours etc. This was a definite work out and make sure you bring lots of water to stay hydrated when walking here !!

Escapology Escape Rooms Lakeland - Lakeland Jennifer Smith: Amazing experience. Took our whole team so no one was left out. Super staff. Friendly. So helpful with clues! Made it out barely with 2-1/2 minutes to go!

Dobbins Park - Lakeland Sheldon Bryant: Excellent, small-sized park. Its wide open and lit by the sky with good sized pavilions as well as play areas for kids. The park could be safer if it were not off a main street, but the through traffic isnt too bad.

Allen Kryger Park - Lakeland Wike Jay: Beautiful public park overlooking Lake Mirror in Lakeland Florida. Beautifully landscaped and well maintained by the city. The swan sculpture is amazing and the view of Lake Mirror and the surrounding walkways is priceless. All of the vintage lighting poles and globes have been kept and illuminate the Lake’s perimeter. The lawns are lush and green and there are terraced areas with stairs as well as sidewalks down from the sloping areas. Truly a treasure and greatly appreciated.

Peterson Park - Lakeland Rachel H: The playground area is nice. Most of the swings were in the shade so they werent too hot for my kids to swing on. The grounds are well maintained and they have several baseball/softball fields. However, the boardwalk needs to be replaced because several board are worn out and the bathrooms REALLY need updated.
