  • Gator Creek Reserve - Lakeland joshua salter: Pretty nice trail, clearly marked. Very wide and soft pathway so it got very very quiet which was awesome! Sadly didnt see any critters my visit but a great place to stop by and take a peaceful walk
Lakeland Highlands Scrub - Lakeland Daniel Smith: I absolutely love the scrub. It has the best trails in the area.
Seven Wetlands (Se7en Wetlands) - Lakeland J Kohl: Walked literally thousands of miles here since the opening. Few people and lots of wildlife. And no ,dogs are not allowed.
Banana Lake Park - Lakeland Ayperos: This is a very small park, there is a play area if you have kids it is away from the water. There is only one dock and you cant see the water from anywhere but that one dock. There is no walking paths or other ways to get around the lake or explore. Its more of a quiet family picnic area if thats what youre out for, this place is for you, if thats not what youre after go some place else.
Tenoroc Public Use Area - Lakeland Rashad Hasan: Great fishing spot, but no bank fishing allowed and visitors will be asked to present a Florida fishing license.. you’ll be limited to using the docks to fish but there’s plenty docks at the first lake near the entrance. You have to check in and check out …. A little bit too much hassle just to cast a line for a few hours… Bring live bait or worms no luck on lures for me … good news is that there’s tons of fish and variety… worms will be guaranteed to catch you something especially if you have younger children first timers…
Horney Park - Lakeland Cathy Duprey: I love the new ( to us ) park playground, it has a different theme then the others, wish it had water fountains though .. but next time well make sure to bring drinks, ( it was a spur of the moment Trip) also there is a lot of shade and beautiful tree that is low to the ground, if it wasnt about to rain we had thought about climbing it.
Westside Park - Lakeland Angie Williams: The park is ckean and nice. No shade for the play ground thats an ouch for the kids. Wild cats were trying to get a baby bunny we saved. Get rid of the wild cats Lakeland.
Handley Park - Lakeland L BL: Handley Park is a lovely spot! Its never overcrowded, which is a huge plus. The playground equipment is in good condition, and there are plenty of swings for all ages. I appreciate the open grassy area for kids to run around, and there are ample benches and even a couple of picnic tables. The water fountains are a nice touch, and I found some shaded areas for those hot Florida days. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable park for families.
Boathouse Riverfront Park - Palatka Alexis Fouts: This spot will always be a special place for me and my children. We have spent many days together at the river and always have the best time. ❤️
Ravine Gardens State Park - Palatka Christina M: So happy we got to come visit when the azaleas were blooming. We hiked the azalea trail, which is the more strenuous one. There were a lot of steps and the path was steep in some areas and very narrow. There are 2 suspension bridges. There are also easier walking paths and plenty of beautiful views.
