3 /5 Frank Ruff: East Coast Service Center is generally top-notch with their repairs. Douglas, the lead technician, is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The Boss, service writer, parts person, I forgot her name, is very business-like and runs a tight ship. When work is promised, its provided. Unfortunately, it appears East Coast Service Center doesnt have the resources to make things right when an error is made. After using their services for several years, they replaced a fuel pump on my motorhome but forgot to replace the clamps holding the fuel lines in place. The result was a broken fuel line in a remote Utah location that left me stranded beside the road. I was able to get it fixed the following day after a 3-hour drive to Salt Lake City and after a call to a mobile mechanic. When I got back home, I took the bills (~ $2500) to them expecting them to stand behind their work. Instead, I was told they didnt leave the brackets off and even if they did, the fuel lines were so old they probably would have broken even if the brackets were installed. They offered me a free oil change. I declined and made an appointment at Cummins Coach Care in Ocala. I know Im going to pay more but Cummins commitment is honored at any Cummins facility. Im happy the damage was only $2500 but ask myself if Id be willing to foot the bill if they forgot to replace an oil plug or something equally disastrous. I liked giving them my business (before something went wrong) but I will no longer use them nor can I recommend them.
