I sign the authorization for him to put in the new A/C kit for $1025. Before I go, Jesse asks me, "Would you mind if I looked, just to ensure that you need a new compressor?" I hesitated, almost telling him to not worry about it. "Sure, okay."
I get a call a day earlier than he said hed be able to get to it, and he says, "Your car is ready for pickup. Its going to be $260 for, as it turns out, the ECV (also called the compressor control valve) that had gone bad."
Fast Auto could have taken advantage and simply done the bigger job for more profit. Instead, they operated with integrity, forthrightness, and honesty, saving me money and allowing me to drive out with 43° F A/C blowing on my face.
