5 /5 Brian Callaway: These guys are true mechanics and on top of that honest AND reasonable. I had a bent tie rod on a Saturday and my go-to shops were all closed. After a corporate tire shop on the corner told me they normally do tie rods but their computer says my car would require 2.7 hours of labor and they don’t have the tools anyways, I found Ulmerton & Starkey with a Google search of who is open on Saturday. Jim and his tech had me totally fixed up in 30 minutes and at a very fair rate too—on a Saturday. I almost don’t want to leave this review because I want this shop to be a little secret for family and close friends.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a level of professionalism and genuine care thats rare to find these days. The service advisors took the time to listen to my concerns, thoroughly explained the necessary repairs, and provided a fair and transparent estimate. What truly impressed me was the quality of their work. The technicians are clearly skilled and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond to ensure my car was running smoothly. They even took the time to show me the old parts and explain what had caused the issue. 5 /5 Kayla Jones: Extremely nice and HONEST guys! I had the parts I thought I needed to get my car fixed. Turns out, I didn’t need the parts at all and it was a rather simple fix of unsticking a bracket. They did recommend new brake pads soon, but they didn’t pressure or try to upsell me. They didn’t install the new parts (which would have cost way more) because it wasn’t necessary. They were honest and as a woman, that is so important! HIGHLY recommend Ulmerton and Starkey Automotive!

5 /5 cathie ringwald: Went here this morning with a power steering leak. He said it was my rack and pinion which I had replaced in June at another shop. Jim told me to bring it back to the place that replaced it. I’m getting a new one with no charge. I’m very happy to have found Ulmerton and Starkey shop. I will continue to use them for all my older cars needs!!! Very nice people and trustworthy. Thankful to have found them!!!!!!

5 /5 Gigi: I called everywhere in the area for help with my car in hopes someone could give me a better quote than my original mechanic (who understandably had certain set prices and rules). Jim and his other mechanic immediately went to work on a quote that would save me money because my car was nearly un-drivable due to a bad clutch. He gave me a price that was nearly $500-$700 less than my original mechanic. What I specifically like about this place is that they will allow you to supply your own parts (obviously at your own risk) but he will tell you if a part is not good. But he was more than willing to get the parts for me and called around for the best price. Other larger companies will charge more for labor if you supply your own parts. Long story short, my car is working wonderfully and I was able to get great quality service! Thank you so much !
