UF Health Primary Care - Palencia - St. Augustine Diana Welden: I started as a new patient several months ago, and really enjoyed my visit with Dr Tran. She is thorough and listens to concerns. However, my review is geared towards the Flagler Primary Care facility as a whole. Since my initial visit, I was seen for a shoulder issue. Dr Tran ordered an xray and mri for Flagler Imaging and it was supposed to be sent to them directly. After at least 3 follow up phone calls back and forth, (because the imaging center never received the order) it was finally sent to Flagler Imaging. After my x-ray, I received no follow up from UF Health Primary Care. I called the office, and left three voicemails on Dr Trans testing results line (I waited 48 hours in between as requested). Finally, after no follow up, I stopped by the office. At that point, they still had not read my x-ray (it had been at least a week). If they are busy, I understand but it only takes a minute to call be back for an update. I waited one more day for them to finally call back with xray results, and then they ordered the MRI. After the mri results were given to me, Dr Tran suggested a 2nd mri for a different look. She said she would place the request, and I would hear from someone in a few days. Its now been two weeks and I have not received one phone call from UF Health Primary Care OR Flagler Imaging. In the meantime, I went ahead and made and appointment at JOI. They read my initial results and set me up with a treatment plan same day. In short, I wasted a lot of time with the primary care. Dr Tran seems like a great doctor, but the facility is very lacking with its communication and follow up. Good luck to anyone that visits and expects thorough follow up. This seems to be a consistent problem if you read the negative reviews.
Pulmonary Associates of St. Augustine - St. Augustine Lurch _: They overbook. As you walk in, you encounter a sign stating that “if you are more than 15 min after your scheduled appointment, you will need to reschedule”… however, when they or the doctors are running over 1.5 hours behind, you are just expected to sit and wait your turn. The least the receptionists can do is call the clients with appointments to inform them of the delay or reschedule. The clients/patients time is just as important and valuable as the doctor’s time. Poor service at best. Seek another provider.
Florida Health Care Plans - St. Augustine Tracy Lane: I have loved the staff and care at the fhcp pharmacy until today. I lost my insurance and tried to get my prescription and pay out of pocket for it. Even with refills remaining, I was told they could not fill my prescription at all because my insurance was canceled. I just switched jobs and knew I would have 2 months without coverage. I have paid cash for prescriptions many times throughout my life. Some because I didnt want to use the brand insurance preferred, others when changing jobs. I never in my wildest dreams thought a company that is supposed to care about your medical wellbeing would refuse to fill your prescription with a valid prescription in file.
Island Doctors - St. Augustine Rhonda Haire: Dr Farhat has been a primary doctor for my mom for many years since he first came to town. She had issues with severe bile reflux for many of those years. She was being treated by an internal Dr who referred out of town for the bile reflux issue. She had gotten so bad that ER visits with phenomia were becoming the norm. Dr Farhat researched and found a Dr in town to see her. Within a few weeks from the first visit with this Dr, she had surgery to take care of the issue. With him wanting to keep her in town she is in her recovery as we speak. My mom praises him daily for saving her life and her current recovery process. She no longer is having the reflux issue.
