1 /5 Ross Barnett: I came here for a wheel bearing replacement and left with a squeak still in my wheel. I took it back and let them know. They told me they took the whole tire off and checked but couldnât recreate the squeak and again sent me on my way. I went to another mechanic who diagnosed the squeakâthey put the incorrect backend plate on the brakes and this incorrect plate was rubbing on the calipers. The plate was not made for my vehicle. They were never told to replace this part, only the bearing. After I went back to them and let them know what another mechanic found, the man behind the desk picked up an attitude with me and told me âI have a bunch of cars on lifts out there and promises to all of those customersâ. He made me stand outside in the rain and treated me like I was less than a customer while he told me to âstand over there and stay out of my garageâ. This is all because I challenged his comment of âhaving promises to customersâ and asked where my promise was. He got upset and told me his guys were too busy (I observed most of them sitting around not doing a whole lot).
After standing around for 15 minutes, they sent me on my way. They just bent the backend plate more instead of correctly putting the right one on. I felt like theyâre just in it for a buck and not for customer care. The mechanic I went to used to send all their customers there and after this experience will no longer send any customers to Haines Creek Auto. Beware of this business. They may be old and hanging onto the âweâre family owned so you can trust usâ but they do shady things and thatâs not right. I paid for a wheel bearing replacement, left with an issue and had to come back twice to have it fixed. Only on the third time did I get treated like a piece of trash by the big bald man behind the desk with the beard.
Having me stand in the rain while you talked to me without respect and then were dishonest about your work that I paid you forâgood luck but I wouldnât touch this place with a 100ft pole after my experience. Pics show the repair job and you can compare one wheelâs backend plate with the other. Look at the difference. New screws were put into the plate, where are the old screws? Why was the backend plate replaced when I took it for a wheel bearing replacement? Was it destroyed during install? It appears bent into place. Why was there no screw returned back to the brake line? Itâs wide open. These are questions they wouldnât answer. Thatâs a problem and honestly unprofessional, and unsafe. It is the principle of it all.
The man apologized at the end of it all but the interaction and experience was already over with. When I went back to the mechanic that found the issue, he checked your work and found a loose lug. What in the world? Itâs wild running your business in this manner and I am sorry to say youâve lost me forever.
