4 /5 Mike: This is an excellent hospital for psychiatric-Baker Act services with private rooms and professional as well as courteous physicians and nurses. You are treated the same whether you have good insurance or not, and the psychiatrists will ensure the patient is stabilized prior to discharge. Dr. Ranjay Haider is perhaps the best psychiatrist Ive ever had the fortune to be examined by. A sentient and compassionate being. Ive deducted one star, however, because of this hospitals food service. The foods served are fattening and unhealthy and often served at room temperatures. In mitigation, I understand the the kitchen had a fire, is being renovated, and thus the food is being prepared and transported from another hospital. When and if they repair their kitchen and begin to offer healthy alternatives to pizza and fried foods, and serve coffee at least twice per day, my rating would be 5 stars. I was discharged on 1/3/25.
