1 /5 Liz Windley: When I scheduled my appointment, they told me they would call me back after I filled out paperwork. A week passed without a call and I had to be the one to call back for an appointment. They told me I would have to wait at least 6 weeks for the next availability. Once the appointment time came, I received a voicemail stating to be there at my appointment time. I arrived 10 minutes early and wasn’t even greeted by the two people behind the desk. When I said hello, the guy, Erik, behind the desk was short and didn’t greet me, only asked for my name and before I even finished, he rudely interrupted me and said “we need to reschedule you.” Even after insisting the voicemail said to be there at my appointment time, he continued to interrupt me and cut me off mid sentence. I went to play the voicemail as proof insisting that I could fill out paperwork afterwards, but he rudely told me “there’s no need to be testy.” I responded with “please don’t be rude to me. I’m only trying to make this work and haven’t been on my psych meds in over 8 months and desperately need them” he said “am I raising my voice? No. So I’m not being rude.” Which I then responded with, “you don’t need to raise your voice to be rude.”
He was condescending and gave me an appointment for a month and a half later. My husband called 30 minutes after I left the office to schedule an appointment just to see, and was given an earlier appointment time. I was discriminated against and I will never EVER recommend them to anyone. GO TO OCALA PEOPLE! Balanced well-being have me an appointment within a week and literally saved my life. Instic is careless, thoughtless, and all around a bad environment. Not at all designed for people on the brink of mental health.
