1 /5 Sarina Katriel: My daughter recently had her baby here. What a horrific experience! She found out in labor and delivery that her dr doesn’t deliver babies here but only does surgeries. She was in labor 12 hrs. Her nurse Carol was AMAZING! after two hours of pushing the midwife hospitalist updated the Dr who was a hospitalist as well and never showed his face the 12 hrs of labor, and he came in to check status. Mind you, shift change was in an hour. He shows up and tells her baby too big and shoulders will not fit so need emergency C-section. Yet we saw baby head. They throw us out of room and start tossing her all over the place. They got her in OR and jabbed her twice with a shot and made her drink something twice. They never told her what they were giving her. She started throwing up and they strapped her down. They forgot to get her husband so he came in after they pulled her baby out. My daughter was asking if baby was ok and no one would answer her and instead dr said to give her something and she won’t remember. Well she remembered. Then she didn’t get to hold her baby for four hours. Her husband held the baby but was told she could not see it until meds wore off. The meds didn’t wear off for four hours and even then she was drugged. We spoke with a midwife company afterwards and they said even if mom is drugged baby is put to her face or chest and dad stands there with baby. They deprived my daughter of proper information when giving meds, failed to get her husband in time of birth, sedated her for hours, deprived her and baby of one on one first four hours, nurse aid was horrible and my other daughter was one helping her to bathroom and showering her as nurses aid said they no longer bathe, it would take sometimes over an hour to answer the call for nurses, several had attitudes, …. Bottom line is if you are having a baby this is NOT the hospital to go to. Nurses for most part don’t want to be there, no one is advocating for patient, and drs will not show up until last hour of shift and do an emergency c section to milk the system. 7 pounds is not too big. Dr told another patient same thing they did after our daughter n baby weighed 6 pounds. Stay away from Dr jones. I’ve had inside info from people who work with him that say he is big on milking the system.
