1 /5 riley brunet: I visited Lee Nails and Spa on November 11th with hopes of getting a quality manicure, but unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing and frustrating.
When I asked the technician if he could adjust the shape of my nails after he filed them, a nearby employee intervened, making me feel uncomfortable for even asking. To clarify my request, I pulled up a photo of my own nails from a previous appointment, hoping to explain more easily. However, the lady insisted that the hands in the photo werent mine, even though both the customer next to me and I repeatedly told her that those nails were mine. The lady continued to try and gaslight me that the shape of my nails were different, eventually stating that the technician no longer wanted to do my nails. She said he didnt want to do them because he doesnt speak English and does not understand. I tried explaining that I didnt mind at all if he didnt speak English, that is why I pulled up the photo for clearer communication.
At that point, the technician who was doing my nails left without saying a word, leaving my nails half-done, with visible residue and only partially filed. Even the customer beside me stepped in, saying both of the technicians behavior was unprofessional and not okay. I tried to express, calmly, that I think it is fair I asked for a specific shape given how much I am paying. In response, the employee told me I was "too picky," referencing a prior visit that I believe she may have confused me with someone else.
The lady suggested that I wait for her to be done with her customer so she can finish my nails. When I explained that I didnt have additional time due to my work schedule and that I had reserved two hours for this service, she suggested I return another time. I shared that I didnt feel comfortable returning after this experience, especially since it was now apparent some of the staff had possibly already discussed me in front of other employees. Feeling overwhelmed, I eventually left in tears.
My boyfriend called the salon afterward to try to resolve the issue, but the same lady who was being rude to me hung up on him.
Overall, this experience left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer.The fact that another customer had to intervene and tell them that their behavior was not okay further solidifies this. I strongly caution anyone considering this salon to think carefully before spending their time and money here. Professionalism and customer service should be the foundation of any salon experience, and unfortunately, I did not find that to be the case at Lee Nails and Spa.
