4 /5 Nurse Ford: Lion Country Safari has always been a fun and unique weekend adventure, and it’s still a great way to spend time with family while getting up close to some amazing animals from the comfort of your car. The drive-through experience is always exciting, and the automated radio station adds a nice educational touch as you go along. That said, I couldn’t help but notice that the number of animals has significantly decreased since COVID. As we drove through and listened to the narration, several animals that were being mentioned—ones I clearly remember seeing in abundance in past visits—just weren’t there anymore. It took away a bit of the magic and variety that used to make the safari so special. Despite that, it’s still a worthwhile trip and a unique way to spend a few hours, especially for kids. I just hope to see more of the animals return in the future to bring back the full experience that made it such a standout attraction.

5 /5 Miranda Botts: Best vacation experience! Skip Animal Kingdom and come to the real Safari Park. Take your time and enjoy the animals in natural habitats. Mid-day summer is not the best time to go if you want to see the animals do anything other than nap. Best times are early morning and late afternoon. We didnt even know about the walk-around park the first time. The Safari is about an hour if you take your time, but you can spend hours in the walk-around. Part water park, part zoo, paddle boats, little rides, petting zoo, mini golf, feed the giraffes. They even have Dole Whip (by the main restaurant) and cocktails by the water park. Picnic area and camping even! Skip the zoo and plan a full day here.

4 /5 Frank Dreier: Very nice experience with the smallest espresso ever. Ideal for 2-3 hrs afternoon visit during weekdays enjoying reduced rates and few visitors. Drive-thru safari is pretty cool with a lot of wildlife to see and close up encounters. Takes about an hour with no traffic and plenty stopping to admire the animals. Afterwards spare an hr. for a walk through an animal park with some water and other attractions. You can find decent coffee ☕ at the shop..just check how much you actually get ...as our dollar 5 espresso was the tiniest we had ever. 2 hrs was just fine for us...plan for more time if you want to attend animal shows, the water attractions and more. So get out there and enjoy an afternoon.

2 /5 WDW 1971: Found this safari drive was a waste of time and felt like being in the i4 in central Florida. The lions (saw 4) were in a chain link gated area. The other animals that were at large were what-ever. The walk around park did not have enough animals. Monkeys were far away on islands...bring binoculars if you want to see them! Very disappointing. The other activities to do like peddle boats looks so lame. Prices of the food very expensive. The grounds were well kept and nicely shaded. Kids would enjoy this place...they have little rides and a splash pad area. But for adults who have been to Animal Kindgom at Disney, this animal park is lame.

5 /5 The Doot: Such a fun day with the family. This is great for kids of all ages. We spent about 4-5 hours here. The safari was very fun with many animals getting up close and personal. The attraction area at the end of the safari was much more substantial than antivirals anticipated. We had hours of fun at the exhibits and we didnt even do the water area that looked fun. I would recommend this to people traveling to this area.
