5 /5 David Lieu: We visited on a late Saturday morning in late December 2024. We were lucky and got a parking spot pretty close to the Nature Center. We wanted to do the beach first and check out the Nature Center later. So we carried all our stuff across the long boardwalk. We did end up passing the tram on the way there. On the way back the kids were rinsing off at the station when the tram pulled up and the lovely lady waited for us to wrangle everyone. It was a fun ride back and the tram could hold maybe 6 or 7 people not including the driver. We had all our beach gear with us and it was perfect for our family of 5. She offered to take us to parking lot but we still wanted to visit the nature center. The nature center was actually really nice inside. Way better than what we were expecting. It was a little on the darker side with lighting but still very cool. Lots of interactive exhibits and live animals. There is also a theater but if I remember correctly the audio system was not working right and we had to listen to the film through the projects built-in speaker instead of through the larger ones in the room. Just outside the nature center is the Beach Outfitters & Gift Shop which has merch for sale as well. This is where your check-in or book excursions/rentals etc. Right outside of the shop was a sea turtle tank with a baby sea turtle. Apparently its very rare to have a facility that is certified to house sea turtles. A staff member engaged with the kids about the tank. We would 100% visit again. Maybe a different season or if it was just warmer and less windy outside. This was one of our favorite Florida State Parks.

5 /5 Andrew Starr: Long walk to the beach but there is a golf cart that is a one seater that can give you a ride in an emergency. Nice amenities in a gift shop and kayak rental. I was there during a vendor event and I wouldn’t recommend going during the next one. It took about 30 minutes sitting in a line to get through the gate. The vendors were typical of a farmers market minus the food.

5 /5 Laura Bergner Owens: Great natural area with an accessible boardwalk across the lagoon to the barrier island part of the park. Pick up some free park guides at the gift shop before you head out to the barrier island. All the staff & volunteers we encountered were FANTASTIC! They happily shared insights into the property and had helpful suggestions. Theres also a tram that will take you back and forth across the boardwalk. Great nature center. Ask to see the movie if it isnt already playing. We were the only ones there and the staff offered to put it in for us. Well worth it and you can take 15 minutes to cool off. The gift shop has a nice variety of beach gear & necessities, lots of fun things at decent prices for souvenirs. Lots of clean restrooms and free parking.

Dyer Park - West Palm Beach Mengee: This is one of my favorite parks in West Palm Beach. I was looking for a place to run with asphalt surface. This park has a lot of that and space to run, walk or just relax. It also has a nice playground and sport fields. I workout here several times a week. A plus for the beautiful sunset . I’m so happy to have found this park.

Historic Kapok Tree - Palm Beach Rose Thomas: Really enjoyed seeing this historic tree in person. There’s also a nice walking path next to it, along the water. It’s a little tricky to find, but take the path in front of the Flagler museum, past the gate to the end and then take a right.

Hakuna Matata & Motunui Boat Cruises by Visit Palm Beach - West Palm Beach Kiarra Collins: The tour was great!!! Hayley and Dylan was our tour guides and they were super funny and informative about the west palm area. Dylan showed me videos from his scuba diving it was awesome! We saw beautiful houses and big boats! 10/10 recommend

Visit Palm Beach Visitor Information Center - West Palm Beach Annette Weber-Stein: Outstanding staff, my fiance and I stopped in. All of our questions wete answered. Great central location.

Lake Lytal Park - West Palm Beach Marisa: Stopped by here since my flight was delayed. It’s only 8 min from the airport. Walked around a bit. Small playground, not much seating. The fields were locked. Some people playing basketball. There seems to be a community pool that has restrooms we used. The pool is huge and has plenty of lanes for swimming. There were parked police cars.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center - Juno Beach Matthew Wells: Cool place to see sea turtles, nurse sharks, and some other sea fish species up close. The facility is clean, staff is professional, they did a live fish feeding when we were there and narrated some facts to the audience about the fish species. The site also has a standard gift shop on the way out. Entrance fee here is by donation only, so give whatever you think is appropriate. For a donation only facility, it’s very well ran and very well taken care of. My wife and I were all around impressed.

The Society of the Four Arts - Palm Beach John: Well-maintained and beautiful garden that’s perfect for a quick walk through or quiet contemplation. It gets pretty busy on the weekends but most people leave pretty quickly. The parking is somewhat limited, but you can usually find a space. The gardens have really cool permanent sculptures and also temporary art exhibits to check out throughout the year. The buildings adjacent also include a library and small theatre that holds exhibits and concerts.

Post Park - West Palm Beach Marsha Collins: The views here are just stunning, pure Florida paradise! That oceanfront is something else, absolutely breathtaking. It’s the kind of place that makes you never want to leave. Honestly, if I could live there, I would in a heartbeat!

R. G. Kreusler Park - Palm Beach Jane Santiago: Such a lovely park with postcard-worthy views! It’s got restrooms, water fountains, and plenty of benches for relaxing. Perfect spot for a peaceful morning stroll, a picnic, or even beach access if youre up for it.

Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge - Boynton Beach Paul Marban: Nice, quiet and off the beaten path reserve! I went in the middle of the day on a Monday and it was very quiet. There is a short walk in a Cypress Swamp by the visitor center (first two photos) and a mile long loop around a drainage area (second two photos) along with a connection to the main reserve area at the end of the main road (not pictured). You are very exposed to the elements so be sure to bring a hat and sun protection clothes!
