  • Old Florida Museum - Palm Coast Scott York: What a fantastic museum! This place has so much to offer. Our school groups enjoy the Spanish Tour, Naive American Tour and the Dirt Detectives tour the most. I love being able to see the farm animals in the Homestead Tour.Lots of education packed into a fun filled day makes a very rewarding field trip.
Bings Landing - Palm Coast Victoria Von: Had an amazing day at Bing’s Landing with my family! The park’s gorgeous views of the Intracoastal Waterway, shaded by massive oaks, were breathtaking. We enjoyed the short trails, perfect for kids, and loved spotting dolphins from the fishing pier. The picnic pavilions and grills were ideal for our lunch, and the playground kept the kids entertained. We also explored the historic Mala Compra Plantation site, which added a cool historical vibe. Clean facilities and a peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect outing. Can’t wait to return for kayaking!
PCAF Turtle Trail: #3 Marc-Sea - Palm Coast J. Ray: Only downside is for the general public. It’s located in a private fl gated community. Beautiful blue turtle. Right in front of the community center on a nice rock display and fountain behind it. Love the blue rock they added. Turtle is in excellent condition.
Varn Park - Palm Coast Sally Denkert: We were only at the beach for about 1/2 hour because the wind was blowing and it was quite chilly - that’s why I only took 2 pictures! The tide was coming back in so the beach was somewhat narrow, but it wasn’t crowded at all. The sand there is a bit orange, and therefore some of the shells have an orange tinge to them - interesting! The beach has a nice restroom in the parking lot. In warmer weather, I can see this being a popular place for families!
Lafayette Park - Apalachicola Anna Parker: Beautiful path to walk through with a board walk to the ocean for a breathtaking view and a cool breeze. Lots of history at this location to read and learn. Nice playground for children and plenty of benches to set and enjoy the peaceful serenity.
Historic Apalachicola - Apalachicola J. Smith: I absolutely fell in love with this town and the surrounding region
Orman House Historic State Park - Apalachicola Anne Smoak: Get Ranger Jeremy Roundtree to give you a tour! Such a beautiful home, with attached gardens and a three-soldier monument. Come see historic items inside this house that has been in the family for over 180 years. Check out the ancient furniture, and the mini replica food in the kitchen. take a minute to enjoy the beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the parlor and the dining room area. Pick up stairs at the attic and see some storage areas. Original outfits from the family are still in this house. Its amazing that this house is still standing through all of the weather and hurricanes in Florida. Give yourself a good hour and a half for the self-guided tour.
Raney House Museum - Apalachicola mathew mas: I absolutely loved my visit to the Historic Apalachicola Raney House Museum! The tour was informative, engaging, and full of local charm—but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Janyce. She’s incredibly charismatic, and her passion for the history of the home and the town really shines through in every story she tells. You can tell she genuinely cares about preserving and sharing Apalachicola’s rich past. The tour is offered for just a $5 donation, which is more than worth it for the insight and experience you receive. If you’re visiting the area, this is a must-do! Janice brings history to life, and the Raney House is a beautiful glimpse into 19th-century Florida life.
Apalachicola Family Airboat Tours - Apalachicola Elizabeth Bingham: Captain Carter was a wonderful guide. My family absolutely loved our trip out and got to see 4 gators! We had so much fun! I highly recommend you take a gator tour. We got to learn all about them and feed them some cheese puffs.
Battery Park - Apalachicola Marty: Florida BBQ Association held a BBQ Cook Off, "Butts and Clucks" event 2025. Great event, awsome food, nice location, great little town to adventure. Was an honor to be one of many judges at this event. Instagram @foodieadventuresusa
