5 /5 Ariel W.: Sanborn Square is a beautiful green space located sandwiched between Federal Highway and Mizner Park in Boca Raton. There is a stage, portico, a sidewalk lined with Royal palms, and beautiful fountains. During the holiday season the city of Boca uses the space to put up a manager, Christmas Tree and other holiday themed lighted decorations. The square had a moment in the spotlight when in 2016 a local teacher erected a 10 foot Satanic pentagram in response to the cities religious display.
The space is available to rent for weddings. It also hosts art exhibits, yoga classes, and festivals. On Saturday night I attended the 3rd Annual Downtown Boca Italian Fest. It was packed with people and included rides, food, and live entertainment.
During the festival Federal Hwy was blocked off and parking can be kind of tricky in this area. There is a strip mall located adjacent to this area but do not park there. It is patrolled and if you are caught parking in the plaza but not visiting a business there they will have you towed and are quite aggressive about it. If there arent any events going on here you can usually find parking on the street. If there is an event your best bet is to park in the Mizner Park parking garage.
