1 /5 Mr Wesst: Overcharged for a "racecar" alignment on a non-race car that has minimal adjustability (stock upper and lower A arms). Received a text that my car was ready but saw a flat tire upon arrival. So, I went inside and let them know and sympathized with them, acknowledging I worked in a shop for years and understand how inconvenient it is for everyone. It sucks, and it happens, but the right thing to do is to replace it due to safety/liability reasons and due to the damage happening while the shop was responsible for the car. Unfortunately, I was treated rudely and disrespectfully after that. I was told, "You probably brought the car here with it in there. We can try patching it but if not it looks like you gotta buy yourself a tire." After this I spoke with "one of the owners". Again, being amicable and understanding on the issue, I was told they arent replacing the tire and would be doing a cheap patch. He said if it was a real drag radial they would replace it (as if that matters - its still a $300-$350 tire). He felt the need to tell me his C8 Corvette has $1,000 tires and they would never patch those, but he "trusts those patches with his grandmother driving across the country". Again, I stated the right thing to do is replace it and that Id rather not have to waste my time on writing a bad review for being treated that way, especially after being a paying customer. Then I was told to go ahead, that they could care less because they get so much business from x, y and z, and that I can see them in small claims court if I want. My local friends and I in the drag racing and autocross world will be staying far away from this place. A different shop beforehand quoted me ~$150 but referred me to Superior. Overall, this ended up costing me over $700 due to the alignment overcharge, new tire still being needed, and two extra Uber rides to/from the shop. It blows my mind that people will treat customers like this, disrespect them, not take accountability/responsibility, and lose future business over their mistake. Not smart.
