1 /5 Lorena: This hospital lacks of good medical staff plain simple. If you are not white you will not be treated with dignity or any respect at all. I am from out of state and unfortunately have been anemic all my life. I wasn’t feeling well and I went into the emergency department for a blood transfusion and medication refill @ 11 am. The waiting room was pretty empty and they told me I had to wait for a room to be available. When I went in I was put in the hallway where I waited for about two hours before the doctor came to talk to me. I had came in with my kids and they didn’t let me bring them in with me. More people kept coming in and where place in rooms while I was kept waiting behind. My hemoglobin was below 5 and I needed that blood ASAP. The nurses kept lying to my face about not being able to help me get my kids to the hallway where I was, my kids were so worried and so was I. I was about to walk out when they finally decided to put me in a room. The main nurse decided to bring in a student as well and didn’t even bother to ask if I was ok with it. Then a guy came in the room started typing things in and didn’t even introduce himself or nothing while the student nurse tried to put my shirt up and the room door was open too. I had to say something at that time. The RN nurse then said that he was a doctor. No manners from him. I had the worst experience of my life! I know hospitals are not supposed to be a fun place but I strongly believe that if anyone decides to go into the medical field is because they care about helping people feel better and have compassion for others as well as respect and ethics, sympathy and honesty this hospital lacks of everything above and more. I ended up leaving this place @ 7pm feeling worse than when I came in. This hospital is full of Racist, unprofessional, unethical, rude medical staff and that’s a shame. This hospital doesn’t care about anyone that is not white! Shame on them!

1 /5 Debi Hudgel: Brought our elderly mother in for being dizzy and not feeling well to emergency. Spent 8 hours waiting on tests to get done. She was offered nothing to eat or drink. No IV half the time her vitals were not hooked up. She had an open wound that the doctor took the bandages off to look at it. Never told the nurse to rewrap it. It was still bleeding. 2 hours later we finally got someone to wrap it. That nurse was amazing. No communication what so ever. Sat for at least hour each time with no one coming in. Rude person at the nurses station. This emergency is horrible. I will never come back. Did I mention one of the male nurses was in the hall making fun of another patient. If you value your time and your health. I recommend anywhere but here.

1 /5 Madison portee: I’m currently on hold after being on hold with a front desk person at UF Health North Named Monica for 20+ minutes regarding my mother’s room and transfer number. I have never had an issue with getting transferred to the line in my mom’s room but for some reason I’m on hold once again going on 15 minutes with no warning. They told me okay we will transfer and put me on hold instead. This is very unprofessional and I record all my calls. I just want to check the status on my mothers health after two days of being in the hospital they still have not connected me with my mom or anyone useful.

3 /5 tori vrabel: Honestly, the billing department sucks horribly but the 3 stars were earned by how amazing my delivery was because of the staff. Nurse Carly, Brittney and Kelly, and midwife kelsey were absolutely amazing. Did everything to make me feel comfortable and made the experience great. I honestly can’t get over how awesome they were, if you need a good place for birth those 4 incredible people alone make UF health worth it. Carly was with me almost my whole stay and I can’t stop telling people how much I loved her, it felt like having a big sister there with me. Even with the billing issues I would recommend this hospital for birth just bc of them.

1 /5 Chris Jones: Ive visited this Hospital on multiple occasions to see family in Tower A and Tower B. The nursing employees have gone, down hill over the past few months. I feel like this Hospital is racist towards Caucasian employees. Why are all of the nursing workers all Africa Americans? I havent seen not even one Caucasian, Hispanic or Asian employees anymore. This makes my family and I feel a certain kind of way.

Baptist Medical Center Clay - Fleming Island Preston Westmoreland: Olivia and the other nurse made all the blood draws and catheters painless. Half the reason I don’t see doctors is because of the pain involved. They saved my life and made it painless. The hospital beds are super comfortable. If you could choose your hospital and didn’t pick this one, you have a screw loose and they can’t fix it.

Immediate Medical Care - Jacksonville Sidney Voichahoske: Dr. Moosavi was very helpful in what I was going through mentally and physically. I was in and out quickly. But I’d like to say the front desk girl that was there when I was there, was VERY KIND AND HELPFUL. What I did not take kindly too was how she was treated here at this establishment. Me and my partner could hear Dr Moosavi berating and talking to this lovely girl like trash. All she was doing was asking questions, which she should be able to without being made to feel stupid. I forgot my water bottle and came back, when I came in to get it she was crying. There is no acceptable reason you should be making your employees cry. Especially making them feel bad in THEIR OWN WORKPLACE!!. You wouldn’t treat a patient like this, so don’t treat your staff like this. This broke my heart as someone that has been made to feel this way before in a work environment. DO BETTER!!!

Baptist Primary Care - Regency - Jacksonville Terrie Robbins: This was my first experience meeting Dr. Oum as my new primary care physician. I am overly sensitive to environment and meeting new people, but this experience put me at ease. I think its going to be a good fit for me. My previous physician transferred to a practice in St. Augustine. I loved her, but thats too far for me to travel for doctors visits.

UF Health | Womens Specialists - Jacksonville - Jacksonville Carrie: Accompanied son/girlfriend for first OB appointment. Have been a nurse for 36 years. Wasnt sure what to expect based on current google reviews, but I was impressed with all who we encountered from the check-in desk to nurse assistant/phlebotomist, coordinator, and nurse. All were professional, caring, and gave unhurried care. Thank you for giving us confidence that the baby will be in good hands.

Baptist Primary Care - St. Johns Bluff - Jacksonville Diana Plaaten: Dr Lindsay is a fantastic doctor who really takes her time and has a very holistic perspective on caring for ourselves. Special mention as well to medical assistant Pat who is the best sticker I’ve ever had and the only person I trust to draw my blood.

Nemours Childrens Health, Jacksonville - Jacksonville Alexis Bogosian, DVM: Our newborn was diagnosed with congenital hypothyroidism so we were referred to Nemours to see Dr. Benson. Our entire experience was wonderful. Parking was easy, front desk staff was pleasant and kind, and Dr. Benson was compassionate and put our minds at ease. I am happy to have such an educated and caring team for our new baby.

Duval County Health Department - Jacksonville Anxhela Kocii: I honestly have never met such an amazing group of people. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and funny and make me feel so at ease. The nurses and staff are truly great at both sides of this building. I can understand the phone service is not good but just go in person you’ll get amazing service.

UF Health Jacksonville Emergency Room - Jacksonville Chris Lovett: My wife had open heart surgery here, and the medical staff was amazing. The top team in the country. The support staff is another story. No need for the high level of security. Some of the other support staff need some training. The food in the dining area is always changing to give you a variety to choose from.

She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly take the time to listen to their patients. I always feel heard and well cared for during every visit. Her thorough approach and attention to detail give me complete confidence in my healthcare. I highly recommend Dr. Ricci to anyone looking for a dedicated and trustworthy doctor!

University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville - Jacksonville ChristyColbertOwens: Heres an update for you 1 year later........READY????? On the day of my appt, I was told by his nurse to stay home until I hear from her. Next thing I know I was receiving a call from Dr Blunck & this man yelled & screamed at me blaming me because I wasnt there & I wasted his time & I would have to reschedule with one of his associates. I was so upset & yes I cried because he blamed me for not being there when actually it was his nurse who said to stay home until I hear back from her. I never returned. I went & saw a surgeon @ UF Health North & my surgery went well & a year later Im doing just fine. My recent appt with Dr Hans Blunck, UF Gastro Surgeon @ UF Health, was awesome. Actually, from the moment me & my son walked thru the Faculty Clinic doors for my appt, the staff was very personable with excellent customer service. Once I was checked in on the 2nd floor, I was immediately taken back to an exam room, vitals & history were taken & within 5 mins Dr Blunck walked in He greeted me with a friendly attitude & hand shake. He was patient, understanding, took his time & didnt rush me. I highly recommend Dr Hans Blunck to anybody who needs to have their gallbladder removed. Ill post an updated review once the surgery is completed.
